🚨 Raiders Match Report 🚨

Raiders welcomed Tempest United to Kildare Street for today’s match.

Raiders started off fast with Harry bagging an early goal to get us on the front foot, before doubling his tally not long after. The lads worked really hard in the opening 10 minutes, but took their foot off the gas a little which allowed Tempest United to grow into the game.

At half time we asked the lads to pick up the tempo again, fight harder for the ball and press them more. They came out and did exactly that, which was ultimately the difference in a very tightly contested game.

Joe got himself on the scoresheet in the second half after a lovely through ball from Harry, before Aidan rounded off the morning’s goals. A long range effort was saved onto the post, with the ball falling perfectly for Aidan to tap home.

The last five minutes saw the lads put absolutely everything into keeping Tempest out and seeing the game through.

A really good overall performance from the Raiders, who worked hard throughout. The fight and determination they showed, especially in the second half was really pleasing to see 👏🏻

🏆 Parents Player of the Match went to Harry who was a threat every time he had the ball and took his chances really well. We moved him onto the wing in the second half, where he was a real handful for the Tempest defence, and his work rate gave the midfield exactly the boost it needed.
Hopefully his memory is as good as his feet were today and he remembers to bring the trophy back next week 😂🏆

🏆 Player of the Match went to Joe who covered every blade of grass at Kildare Street today. He was involved in so many of the Raiders attacks and took his goal brilliantly, keeping calm under pressure. His work rate off the ball was fantastic too. The number of times he ran the length of the pitch to make last ditch tackles for his team summed up his performance perfectly. 👏🏻

Special mention to Kian, who somehow played again with an object still stuck in his ear. Despite that he gave everything for the team and put in a brilliant performance that saw him come very close to the match awards 👏🏻

Also a special mention to Kaiden who despite picking up an injury yesterday, turned up and gave it a go for his team. When he was struggling, he supported the lads from the sidelines for the rest of the game. That’s exactly the kind of team spirit we love to see 👏🏻

🚨Dynamites Match Report🚨

What a brilliant game and fantastic display of teamwork from the Dynamites today!
Since pre-season, we’ve been asking the lads to work on three key things: man marking, finding space, and passing whenever possible. Today, they ticked every single box, and the shoudl be very proud of how they represented themselves and the Dynamites.

Jake put in an outstanding performance in goal during the first half. He commanded his box brilliantly, confidently shouting when the ball was his and showing real bravery by coming off his line and putting pressure on players in one-on-one situations. He came flying out of the gates in the second half, fighting for every ball and refusing to back down when the opposition applied pressure. His hard work was rewarded with a fantastic goal!

Hudson had a fantastic first half, chasing every ball that came his way. He showed great confidence with the ball at his feet and made some excellent runs up the pitch. All his hard work and determination paid off when he scored his very first goal for the Dynamites! In the second half, Hudson took on the gloves. It was a slightly quieter half for him as the ball didn’t come his way too often, but whenever it did, he made sure he was confident in getting the ball back into play and helping us launch another attack.

Reuben even while carrying a slight injury, he gave 100% effort from start to finish and never held back. He made some brilliant tackles to keep the opposition away from our goal, and those crucial challenges were vital in helping the Dynamites stay on the front foot and keep the pressure on.

Zachary gave his absolute all today. His attitude towards playing, along with the support and encouragement he gives his teammates both on and off the pitch, is truly out of this world. He worked tirelessly up and down the pitch, finding space, battling for the ball and never giving up. His standout moment came right at the start of the match when he unleashed what can only be described as a rocket from just past the halfway line, which flew beautifully into the back of the net!

Bobby really got stuck in for his Dynamites debut! He made some fantastic blocks and tackles while playing in defence before moving further up the pitch and showing just how hard he could work. He was brilliant at getting up and down the pitch, and his standout moment came when the ball fell perfectly to his feet in front of goal. He calmly placed it into the back of the net. Even Coach Hannah jumped for joy!

Dayton an absolute powerhouse each and every week. After a week away on holiday, Dayton came back raring to go. From the moment his boots touched the pitch, he simply didn’t stop. At half time, the one thing we asked from Dayton was to look for those passes to his teammates. He listened, worked hard and did a fantastic job of getting the ball into the box whenever he could.
His incredible effort and hard work today were rewarded with FIVE fantastic goals!

Blaine started the game up top and worked tirelessly from the first whistle. He chased every ball and applied much needed pressure to the opposition, making it difficult for them to play out comfortably. It’s fantastic to see Blaine growing in confidence with the ball at his feet, and he’s beginning to show more belief in his ability. He also had a stint in defence, where he continued to work hard and made sure he got to every ball that came his way.

Player of the match goes to Jake for his brillaint stint in goal in the first half and his hard work and determination outfield.

Parents player goes to Dayton for his work rate throughout the whole match and some brillaint goals.

The boys played amazingly well today. At half time, there was one simple message for them all - Keep playing how you’re playing. And that’s exactly what they did. Every single player came off the pitch with a huge smile on their face — including Coach Hannah and Trish! The boys teamwork, attitude and determination continue to go from strength to strength, and it’s fantastic to see the hard work from training starting to shine through on match days.

🚨Raiders Match Report🚨

The Raiders welcomed Moss Bank Reds to Kildare Street this morning for what we knew would be a good test for the lads.

The Raiders weren’t quite at the races today and know they’re capable of playing much better football as they’ve shown in recent weeks. All credit to Moss Bank though who pressed us from the first whistle putting us on the back foot and played some great football throughout the game.

A good learning curve for the Raiders. Games like today are all part of their development and will only make them stronger. They’ll dust themselves off, train hard this week and go again next weekend.

AWARDS 🏆

🏆Parents player went to Lewis who got stuck in from start to finish and never stopped battling for the team. He made some brilliant last ditch clearances and tackles at important moments to get us out of danger.

🏆Player of the Match went to Harry who was everywhere his team needed him today. He fought hard for every ball, covered every blade of grass and never stopped working. He also helped get the Raiders moving forward with some great play.

🚨Valkyries Match Report🚨

Early morning away game in Salford for the players today against a new team to our league Salford Storm fc and with us missing Jensen in net Jack volunteered.

First half was an evenly matched game with both teams playing some good attacking football but it was the home that finished on top.

Second half Valkyries made a few mistakes at the back that storm capitalised on and soon found the game getting away from us.

Well done to coaches player of the match Quinn for the second week running he ran his socks off in middle of the pitch being physical in the tackles but also dribble out well to start attacks even grabbed a goal from a corner

Parents player of the match went to Jack stepping up to go in goal he made some cracking saves from some fierce shots at one point he even punched a corner kick away

Harley Lily and kashie all put a shift in defended the box well never backing out of tackles and all three brought the ball out from the back when needed

Jacob and Ralphie both made great runs up and down the wings linking defence with attack really well Ralphie got himself a goal but after a few shots Jacob was unlucky not to

Jesse the main focus of the attack for most of the game just wasn’t given the time on the ball he would of liked to get more goals but did get on the end of a superb pass from Quinn to put the ball in the net

🚨Dynamites Match Report🚨

What a fantastic team effort from the boys today! There was plenty of determination, hard work and some brilliant football on display, with every player giving their all for the team.

Blaine put in a great effort between the sticks today and listened brilliantly to everything we have been asking of him. He made some solid contributions up top too, and was rewarded for his efforts with a well-deserved goal. To finish the match off in defence and be absolutely on fire was the perfect way to end his game — nothing was getting past him!

Zachary our midfield workhorse! Zachary was up and down the pitch all game and simply never stopped. He put up some great battles and, even when he was brought down, he shook it off, got straight back up and continued driving his team forward. A brilliant display of determination and team spirit.

Jake was on fire up top today! He did a fantastic job supporting his teammates, finding space and getting shots away at every opportunity. His hard work was rewarded with two goals, along with several near misses. A constant threat for the opposition and a brilliant attacking performance.

Reuben put in a great shift in defence, working tirelessly to win the ball and help get the team back on the attack. When he moved into midfield, he showed some dazzling footwork, beating his man and getting the ball into dangerous areas for his teammates in the box. A fantastic all-round performance.

George gave his usual 100% today. He had a great game driving the ball upfield and wasn't afraid to have a go at goal whenever the opportunity presented itself. He was incredibly unlucky not to be rewarded with a goal or two, but his effort and determination were there for all to see.

Hudson produced some absolutely sublime tackles today, doing a brilliant job of stopping the opposition when they were pushing forward. He worked his little legs off tracking back and helping his teammates. Wherever he was asked to play, he put in the effort and gave everything for the team — a real delight to watch.

What a fantastic effort from the whole team for our first game of the season. The boys showed determination, teamwork, resilience and some excellent football throughout the match. Every player contributed, supported their teammates and gave their absolute best. Im very excited to see what Dynamites can do this season.

🚨Raiders Match Report🚨

The Raiders kicked off their U10s season this weekend as they welcomed Moorside Rangers to Kildare Street.

Theo in goal had another good game, making some great saves, while his big kicks were used well to get us downfield. He was very unlucky not to come away with a clean sheet.

James started in defence but played in a number of positions throughout the game and gave his all in every one. He brought plenty of aggression to his tackles and linked up really well with his teammates.

Harley also in defence was his usual self, tackling everything he could. He looked much calmer on the ball, taking a touch and finding the right pass, showing that all the hard work he's been putting in is paying off.

Kaiden on the wing worked tirelessly, getting the Raiders forward but also putting in the effort to get back and help his team, including a brilliant last-ditch clearance off the line. His passing was fantastic and he carried the ball brilliantly, just like we've been asking him to do more often. He capped off a great performance with two brilliant goals.

Kian in centre midfield was a real workhorse. His strong tackles helped keep Moorside at bay and allowed us to get on the attack. His passing was pinpoint as usual, including a brilliant ball through for Joe to score early in the game.

Joe played on the wing and in centre midfield and worked hard wherever he was asked to play, once again showing what a great addition he has been to the team. He finished of five fantastic goals. One of the highlights saw him take on half the team, carry the ball brilliantly downfield and calmly slot it past the keeper. His link up play with his teammates was brilliant throughout.

Harry started the match up front but also did a stint on the wing. He was his usual self, pressing Moorside at every opportunity, which helped the Raiders score very early in the game. He looked dangerous every time he had the ball at his feet and played some great passes through for his teammates. He also got his tally for the season up and running with two well taken goals.

Jaxon the first game changer of the day, came on and made an instant impact. He linked up really well with his teammates and played some great passes. We can see his confidence growing week by week and he topped off a brilliant performance by bagging himself a hat-trick with three great finishes.

Aidan another game changer, came on and made a real impact. He looked dangerous every time he went forward and showed some brilliant skill with the ball at his feet. He was very unlucky not to get himself on the scoresheet.

Lewis another game changer, showed once again just how much he has come on. He made tackle after tackle for his team, including some brilliantly timed last ditch challenges. He also played some great balls forward to get us on the attack.

Thomas our final game changer, returned from a toe injury. He made some good tackles when needed and was much firmer with his passing going forward.

A fantastic start to the Under 10s season for the Raiders. We asked the lads to start quickly and they did exactly that. The link up play between them was fantastic to watch and we can only see it going from strength to strength as the season goes on. We can't wait to see how much these lads progress again this season.
