The Wigan and Tyldesley Season Starter Meet takes place at the Wigan Life Centre on Sunday 13th September 2026!

The Meet has been revamped this year and changed to a one day gala including the 50m and 100m free, back, breast, and fly as well as the 100m + 200m IM.

Entries are on a first come first served basis and open on Monday 13th July at 6pm.

Expect all the fun and excitement that you always have at one of our Meets plus much more!

Entries are £6 per event!

Wigan and Tyldesley one day Season Starter Meet 2026 We are not yet at the end of this swimming season but we need to start to look at the start of the next one and our opening competition after the summer break. 🏊‍♀️🐝Mini League – Round 1🐝🏊‍♀️

A strong start for our Mini League team last night, finishing 1st place with 92 points. For several swimmers this was their first ever team league fixture, and they handled it with confidence and great team spirit.

Well done to everyone who competed and supported the team. A fantastic opening round, well done to our team 👏

🐝 Summer Sizzler–Club Performance 🐝

Well done to all of our swimmers who competed at the Summer Sizzler this weekend. We saw some brilliant achievements across the team, with outstanding swims, strong PBs and great progress throughout the meet.

There were plenty of smiles, dancing, cheering and support for each other, creating a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.

Here are some words from our Head Coach Lee:
"To all swimmers, parents and officials from Wasps. I have never been as proud to be the Head Coach of a club as I was today. The swimming from our children was sensational and I cannot count the times I had to double take my stop watch, the start list and be stood there with Michelle saying OMG did you see that time!!!! The organisation of the meet was seamless and Lee on the announcing I have to say is second to nobody. What an amazing day, what a proud day and there is so much more to come. Im ecstatic!!! LEE HEAD COACH"

This one day Meet was something myself and a number of retired committee members fought for over a number of years and it's great to see how popular it has become now in its 3rd year!

Thank you to all of the volunteers and officials for making the day possible.

Well done to all the swimmers you were fantastic!

Please make sure to have a quick read as there is lots of helpful info in there!

One thing it doesn't mention is the RAFFLE the club are running with some UNREAL prizes including an iPad and a Nintendo Switch 2 🤯
