🗓️ Our project begins on June 20th, at TVAC, Eton. Please get in touch if you have an autistic son aged around 13-18, or know of anyone who this could benefit.

Hopefully this research will be the beginning of something far reaching. As parents of autistic children, we know they are excluded from many group activities, and research shows on average a lower level of physical fitness, wellbeing, and even a reduced life expectancy. I believe that taking part in team sports holds the potential to tackle these problems simultaneously by improving physical health, and facilitating social interaction as well as providing a sense of belonging for autistic people. I hope this study takes a small step towards revealing exactly how we can make the benefits of team sports participation accessible for these young people.

Rest in peace Colin. He’s about 85 years old in this clip from a few years back, still sparring! Such a nice man, who had an incredibly positive presence about him. Will miss our conversations about boxing, and hearing his incredible stories from a fascinating era of the sport.
