๐ 2026/27 Leagues Confirmed! ๐
With the season now complete and promotions and relegations officially confirmed, we can finally take a look at how the leagues shape up for the 2026/27 campaign.
Our 1st XV make a welcome return to Counties One following their promotion this season. The league promises to be an exciting one, featuring familiar faces, fierce rivalries and some new challenges along the way. After a season of growth and development together, the squad is eager to test themselves at the next level and continue building on their success.
For our 2nd XV, next season marks a historic milestone as they enter the league structure for the first time, competing in Counties Four. Following several successful seasons and with a squad that continues to grow in both numbers and quality, we feel now is the perfect time to take this next step. With limited rugby opportunities this season, the players are relishing the chance for regular competitive fixtures and the challenges that lie ahead.
Itโs an exciting time for the club and we canโt wait to see what the future holds for both teams.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support usโwe hope youโll join us on this journey as we take on the 2026/27 season together!

What a fantastic season for Willenhall Under 12's. This is a difficult age group going from 8 a side to 12 a side, whilst the lads were also transitioning into senior school. We started the season unsure with how we would cope number wise, but we managed to gain a few new players which is testament to how welcoming the kids and parents are.
On the field we noticed the levels of contact had massively risen and that's something our boys never backed away from. Body on the line tackles against larger squads bringing on fresh legs was a regular occurrence.
We were a little slow in positioning and handling but after lots of hard work on the training ground this definitely got better in the later half of the season.
We would like to thank the parents for there hard work through the season. Getting teen (nearly) lads up early on a Sunday is no mean feat. There's also the parents that collect the gear up at the end of training and matches that goes unnoticed by many but not the Coaches!!! Secondly the first aiders and kit washers.... Massive thank you.
As we go from Mini rugby to Junior rugby we really need the Willenhall rugby family's help with us gaining extra numbers so we can continue this groups rugby journeys. If you no any lads finishing year 7 school going into year 8 next year that would love to join our group please get in contact with coach Andy 07910868701.

Willenhall Terror Taggers season review 25/26
What has been a brilliant season from start to finish? These young taggers have really put it out there this season on and off the field.
Every single player always gives there 100% for each other every training session, and every Sunday morning. They have shown incredible teamwork and commitment and some outstanding team performances.
This season, all of the kids have improved massively by showing great confidence, leadership, and support play throughout the season. They also showed great communication skills and some world class handling.
Terror taggers going forward with the ball has been second to none. By learning looking where the space is in front of them and letting the ball do the work, it has been a joy to watch and have the opposition coaches give these young kids compliments every week is great.
Beyond the great team performances, sportsmanship, and memories, the biggest highlight of the season is watching the kids having great success in everything they do and representing the club.
With this season being the last season of tag for some of them, I can say the kids are looking forward to next season, where they can finally do some contact. For the ones doing tag next season, they are looking forward to their new coach, where they learn new skills, and the coach is excited and can't wait to get stuck in.
A huge thank you to coach, parents, grandparents, and siblings for their amazing support and commitment throughout the season. You all have made it a special one.
Well done to Willenhall Terror Taggers for an incredible season looking forward to plenty more season to come ๐

Willenhall U9s โ Season Review
What an amazing season it has been for the Willenhall U9s!
From the very first training session to the final whistle of the season, every single player has shown incredible commitment, determination, and teamwork. The progress this group has made over the year has been fantastic to watch, and everyone involved with the team should be extremely proud.
One of the biggest improvements has been in the teamโs tackling and defensive play. The confidence, bravery, and technique shown by the players has developed massively throughout the season, with the team working together brilliantly to support each other and defend as a unit.
Going forward with the ball, the attacking play has also improved week by week. The players have shown great awareness, passing, running lines, and teamwork; leading to some excellent rugby being played. Most importantly, the team has played with smiles on their faces and a real love for the game.
Beyond the rugby itself, the sportsmanship, friendships, and team spirit shown by this group has been outstanding. Every player has contributed to making this season such a success.
A huge thank you must go to all the parents and families for their continued support throughout the season โ from cheering on the sidelines in all weather conditions to helping at training and matches. Your encouragement and commitment mean so much to the team.
Finally, a massive thank you to all the coaches for the time, effort, patience, and dedication they put in every single week. Your hard work has helped every player grow in confidence and abilities, and it has been amazing to see the development across the whole squad.
Well done, Willenhall U9s โ an incredible season with plenty more to come!

What a season itโs been for the Mighty Under 11s at Willenhall Under 11s Rugby Team.
This team has seen 24 different players pull on the shirt throughout the season, with a fantastic mix of girls and boys representing the club week in, week out. Itโs certainly been a season to remember.
The squad adapted brilliantly to the new rules, learning quickly and playing some outstanding rugby along the way, putting many of their opponents to the sword with determined performances, teamwork, and great spirit.
When asked about the season, one player summed it up perfectly:
โFantastic โ made lots of new friends and enjoyed playing with my team.โ
Beyond the wins and performances, the friendships, memories, and enjoyment shared by the players have been the real highlights of the year.
As the season comes to an end, we also say goodbye to the girls moving on from the team. Itโs never easy to see players leave, but we wish each of them all the very best for the future in rugby and know theyโll continue to do brilliantly wherever the game takes them.
A huge well done to every player, coach, parent, and supporter who made this season such a special one. The future looks very bright for this fantastic group.โค๏ธ๐

1st Team Season Stats ๐
What a season itโs been for the 1st team! Flying high unbeaten right up until Christmas, before one tough away day reminded us all just how unpredictable this game can be.
An impressive team effort across the board this season, but special mentions have to go to:
๐ฅ Top Try Scorer โ Adam Cooper
๐ฏ Top Points Scorer โ Sam Bowles
๐ช Most MOTM Awards โ Brad Holmes
๐ Most appearances- Lewis Athersmith, Oliver Deeming, Brad Holmes
After finishing second in the league, the team have been promoted back into Counties 1 for next season and we canโt wait to be competing at that level again!
