Halloween nights are brilliant fun, but they're also genuinely overwhelming.

Big crowds. Loud noises. Lots of people they don't know. Costumes that mean they can't even read facial expressions properly.
For lots of kids, all of that together is just... a lot.
And when they feel overwhelmed, the voice that needs to say "I don't like this" or "stop" or "help" often goes very quiet.

The children who do speak up in those moments aren't just naturally bolder. They've practised it.
