As we build towards the new season in the British Wheelchair Basketball Women’s Premier League, Worcester Wolves are saying goodbye to one of the players who has been part of the programme since the very beginning.

Cat Yearron has spent the past five years with the Wolves and has played an important role in the development of both the team and its culture.

A hugely positive presence around the club, Cat has brought commitment, energy and enthusiasm both on and off the court. Since the formation of the Women’s Premier League, she has been part of some fantastic moments with the Wolves, including last season’s memorable run to the play-off final.

Reflecting on her time with the Wolves, Cat said:
“It has been an incredible journey playing for Wolves for the past five years, since the very beginning of WPL. I’ve become a much better player thanks to the input of the coaches, other players and wider programme.

I’ve met some amazing people along the way and will be forever grateful to have had the privilege to play for Wolves at an elite level of wheelchair basketball, with the highlight of reaching the final at the play-offs last year.

I am genuinely gutted to be leaving the programme after all this time, but I will remain a huge Wolves supporter, and I wish the team so much success in the years to come!”

Cat leaves with our huge thanks for everything she has contributed over the past five years, both as a player and as a valued member of the group.

We wish her every success for whatever comes next and know she will remain very much part of the Wolves family.
