"Thank you for the BEST few hours this morning. I can't believe we've only just found out about you. Edith has THE BEST time, what an experience β we can't wait to be able to come back again!" π
That's from Carrie, who came to a recent Cycall session with her daughters Margot and Edith (and dad).
We don't often share family messages, but Carrie's landed in our inbox at exactly the right moment β a reminder that a Cycall session for a first-time family isn't just a bike ride. It's a discovery. It's "why did no one tell us this existed?". It's the kind of morning that makes you plan the next one before you've even left the park.
To Margot and Edith β thank you for coming. You made a lovely session even lovelier. See you again soon. π²π»
To any family who thinks Cycall might be right for them but hasn't quite got round to booking: this is what it can look like. Come and find out.

Every pound gets someone riding. π
Cycall sessions are always free β but the bikes, the kit, and the maintenance behind them aren't. So we're often asked: "if I donate, what does it actually pay for?"
Here's what your donation genuinely buys:
β Β£5 = an inner tube β one of many we get through in a season
π² Β£50+ = a session helmet, sized and safety-checked
π οΈ Β£300 = a day's labour to service several of our adapted bikes
π Β£1,000+ = a new battery for one of our electric adapted bikes β the kind of specialist kit that keeps a rider rolling for years
Whatever amount feels right for you β every pound gets someone onto a bike who otherwise wouldn't.

Powered by the sun. βοΈπ²
That's Kyle in the photo. in front of him: Cycall's solar panels, which charge the batteries that power our adapted bikes.
It's the kind of quiet cleverness that a small charity like ours has to build in. The sun keeps our electric bikes rolling β the hand-cycles, the wheelchair bikes, the trikes β without racking up energy bills that would eat into what we spend on the sessions themselves.
It's also the kind of thing we couldn't have done without our brilliant supporters.
Every donation, grant, and green token drop-in has helped build what Cycall is now β including the panels quietly turning sunlight into miles every session day.
If you're wondering what your support actually buys us at Cycall β it looks a lot like this. βοΈπ

Cycall 2025/26 β by the numbers. π
May 2025 to May 2026. One year of Cycall. Here's what it looked like on paper:
π 2,552 volunteer hours β that's roughly 320 working days of donated time
π 19 sessions delivered at Brooklands Park
π 950 visitors through our gates β riders, families, carers, siblings, everyone
π Supported volunteering opportunities offered to people who don't always get them
Every one of those numbers is someone. A volunteer setting up bikes on a Sunday morning. A rider trying a hand-cycle for the first time. A parent watching their child do something they didn't think possible. A volunteer with a learning disability being trusted with a real role, because they should be.
To everyone β riders, families, volunteers, trustees, funders, supporters β who made this year happen: thank you. Genuinely.
And we're building 2026/27 to be even bigger. More sessions. More riders. More people finding a bike that fits them.
If you'd like to help us do it, donations of any size help keep the wheels turning β from tyres to helmets to full trike services. Every pound goes back onto the track. π²

Say hello to Charlotte. π
Charlotte is joining the Cycall team for the 2026 season β you'll see her at weekends and during college holidays, working alongside Eleanor and the rest of our brilliant team.
In her own words:
"I've been working in inclusion and special educational needs (SEN) for the past 10 years. I'm passionate about supporting people to build their confidence, become more independent, and access opportunities within their local community. I really enjoy helping people achieve goals they may never have thought possible, and I'm looking forward to making a positive difference at Cycall." "When I'm not at work, I love going to see musicals, and you'll usually find me singing too! Most people say I have a good voice... but I'll let you be the judge of that!"
Ten years of inclusion work, a genuine passion for helping people achieve what they didn't think possible, and (allegedly) an excellent singing voice. We think Cycall is going to be a very good fit. π»π²
Welcome to the team, Charlotte. π
