So the dust has settled (literally) on the first game of the season. Despite the result and a little pre-game drama, overall it was another fantastic day for the club. Great attendance from home and Newtown AFC fans - you were all fantastic. Football is well and truly back in the village and things are going in the right direction. Thank-you.

The club is delighted to announce a wave of exciting new signings as the Gaffer builds his squad for the upcoming campaign. Here is what the manager had to say about the newest faces at Clappers Lane:

Aiden Calby

"Aiden is a player I’ve worked with over the last couple of seasons at academy level, where he was part of our U19s league-winning team. He's a huge talent with a great attitude to learn, and I’m sure we’ll see him develop even further this season."

Owen Payne

"Owen is someone I was really keen to bring in after our very first conversation. He brings a wealth of experience despite still being a young player, including valuable time in the Cymru Premier. Most importantly, he’s a genuinely talented player who will be huge for us this year."

Sammy Lestrange

"Sammy joins us with a couple of seasons of Tier 2 experience under his belt at Flint Mountain and Llay. He’s an exciting attacking player who is hungry to make a real impact this season."

Ali Basra
"Ali is another player making the move over from England. He has already impressed me with his natural ability, and I’m confident that once he adapts to the league, he’ll fully showcase what he can do."

Josh Sewell Davies

"Josh is a player I worked with at youth level, and after a season in English senior football, he returns to Wales. He's a quick, hard-working player who I believe will give us a major attacking threat."

Corey Morgan
"Corey impressed me from the very first time I saw him play—he’s calm, composed, and has great technical ability. He makes the move from county football, and I can't wait to work with him this season."

Welcome to the club, lads! ⚽🔥
