This year’s offering for the Glen Gardens Heworth Scarecrow trail from team Heworth Tennis Club. Once again made of recycled tennis kit (mostly) lost property, used balls & broken net!!
Theme was Animals, Beasts & CrazyCreatures. So this is ‘Game, net and catch’!! Our sea beast caught in a net - along with tennis ball fish!! Well done to Jen & Helen for creating it & to Susanna for the original idea!!
Answer to the question ‘How many tennis balls were used to make the scarecrow’ = 25 (10 in each arm & 5 🐟)!!

For the 3rd year running we are partaking in the Glen Gardens Heworth scarecrow trail (see details on poster). Excitingly we are no.1, you will find our scarecrow by the park courts this year. Come along to see which member suggestion was used to inspire & how many tennis balls have been used to make it? 🤔🎾
Some keys were found on the road outside the club this evening. They are safe in the clubhouse if the owner messages the club with a description we can reunite them!
