Another fab Tutoring day with Advanced Riders North Yorkshire for our weekly training. As usual, everyone met at Strawberry Fields cafe, before Tutors and Associates were paired up. I went out with Mark, an experienced rider, who's looking to renew his previously obtained RoSPA qualification. The end destination was the cafe at Breiton Airfield, a cafe I've never been to before, but one I'll defo visit again ๐Ÿ‘.

RoSPA Tutoring this morning with Advanced Riders North Yorkshire, and another fantastic turnout with 12 associates in attendance along with Tutors and trainee Tutors. Not to mention those here for the post test social ride. What a great group to be involved with ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Training today with Kev on his 800 Tiger. Kev is relatively new to biking having only passed his test last year, and this was his first foray into post test training.
However, Kev rode confidently from the off and we were soon putting new techniques into practice. Great session, covering around 120 miles and we never got wet. Result.

A post popped up on FaceBook the other day talking about the Honda FireBlade. It brought back some great memories of the Blades I've previously owned. I had 5 in total over a number of years, interspersed with Suzuki GSXRs, (3 x 1000s - K1, K4, K5, 1 x 750 SRAD and a 600) but I always seem to end up back on a Blade. The last one I owned was in 2008. In fact that was the last 'proper' sportsbike I've owned. I tried touring on a Blade, I went to Scotland and Switzerland, but as you can imagine, they're not ideal for long distance!
I only really moved aware from them (and sports bikes in general) as my desire to do more touring grew and grew. Here's a few photos of my Blades. Is there a bike that holds a special place in your heart/memories? Post your comments and photos below.

Training today with Malc on his BMW S1000XR. Malc travelled up from Derby for his training, so had already covered 100 miles by the time I met him at Strawberry Fields cafe. Malc has previously completed a BikeSafe event, and is now contemplating taking an advanced test. Malc rode well from the off, so it was a case of smoothing out a few issues and working on consistency for what he was already doing pretty well. 140 miles covered, and we never got wet once, which given the forecast, and some of the very black clouds we encountered, is quite unbelievable! Phew! Malc is planning to return again next month.

Training today with Simon on his Triumph Scrambler. Simon is back to biking after a 20 year break and is looking to complete the Enhanced Rider Scheme. Cracking 1st session and unbelievably we didn't get wet!

Training again today with Jonathan on his lovely K1300S MotorSport. This was Jonathan's 2nd session as he gets 'back to biking' after a 15 year break.
In his first session on Tuesday, we had a real mixed bag of weather, so it was great to be out today on dry roads and in the sunshine. Another cracking session, and Jonathan will be back again in the coming weeks to progress further.
