Some practices ask you to push.

This one asks you to arrive.

This Sunday evening at the studio is not a performance. It is a closing. For a season of work, of showing up, of trusting the path enough to keep moving on it.

We move together: first through Rhythmic Vinyasa, where the breath leads the body and the body follows the truth. Then into Tribal Dance, where something older takes over : something that doesn’t need to be understood, only felt.

This is what practice is ultimately for. Not the postures. Not the sequences. But the moments where movement stops being technique and becomes something closer to freedom.

Come for that.

Sunday, June 28
Rhythmic Vinyasa · 18:30–20:00
Tribal Dance · 20:30–22:30

There is a way we work at Evergreen.

Part 5 : DHARMA — purpose, right path, right action.

Sauca cleaned the lens.
Krama showed us the path.
Sanga reminded us we don’t walk it alone.
Shraddha asked us to trust the process.

Now we arrive at the last principle.
And in many ways, the reason for all the others.

Dharma is often translated as purpose. But it is not the purpose you decide on. It is the one you uncover.

It is not a goal.
It is a direction.

In the practice, Dharma is the question that lives underneath everything else. Not what do I want from this? But what is this asking of me?

It is a subtle difference. And a profound one.

At Evergreen, we believe the practice is not just something you do for your body. Or your mind. Or your stress levels. Those things matter. But the practice, over time, begins to point at something larger. At how you move through the world. At how you treat others. At what you are actually here to do.

Dharma is not dramatic. It rarely announces itself.
It arrives quietly. In the way a posture suddenly makes sense. In the moment a student becomes a teacher. In the decision to keep going when stopping would be easier.

Sauca purifies. Krama organizes. Sanga sustains. Shraddha deepens. Dharma orients.

This is our fifth principle.
And the one that gives meaning to all the rest.

DHARMA. Find the path that is yours. Walk it with everything you have.

There is a way we work at Evergreen.

Part 4 : SHRADDHA — trust, faith, devotion.

Sauca cleaned the lens.
Krama showed us the path.
Sanga reminded us we don’t walk it alone.

Now comes the hardest one.

Shraddha is often translated as faith. But it is not blind faith. It is not the absence of doubt. It is something more honest than that.

Shraddha is the willingness to keep showing up — even when the results are not visible. Even when the progress feels slow. Even when the practice is asking something from you that you’re not sure you can give.

It is the trust that the work is working.
Even when you can’t feel it.

In the practice, Shraddha looks like this:
You come to the mat when you don’t want to.
You hold the posture a little longer than feels comfortable.
You return to the breath instead of running from it.
You stay.

This is not performance. This is not discipline for its own sake.
This is devotion.

At Evergreen, Shraddha is in the teachers who have practiced for decades and still arrive as students. It is in the student who has been told to slow down — and does. It is in the willingness to trust the structure, the sequence, the community, and the path — even on the days when none of it feels like enough.

Sauca purifies. Krama organizes. Sanga sustains. Shraddha deepens.

This is our fourth principle.

SHRADDHA. Trust the process. Come back. Keep going.

A few moments from our Family Yoga Retreat 🌿

Three days of slowing down and returning to simple things — movement, nature, connection, and being together.

The Evergreen Project became our home for these three days, holding us close to nature and creating the space for this experience to unfold the way it did. 🌳

Thank you to all the families who shared this weekend with us and made it what it was 💚

There is a way we work at Evergreen.

Part 3 : SANGA — community, companionship, the people we practice with.

Sauca cleaned the lens.
Krama showed us the path.

But no one walks it alone.

Sanga is the third principle. And in many traditions, it is considered one of the most powerful forces on the path. Not because it is the most dramatic. But because it is the most constant.

The people around you shape your practice more than you realize.

Who you practice next to. Who teaches you. Who challenges you. Who holds the standard. Who shows up, week after week, and reminds you, through their presence alone, that this matters.

At Evergreen, we do not use the word community lightly.

It is not a marketing word here.
It is a responsibility.

Conscious community means we are aware of how we affect each other. The energy we bring into the room. The way we speak to each other before and after class. The way we treat the teachers, the space, the newer students. The way we hold the culture, together.

A studio is not four walls and a schedule.
It is what the people inside it decide to make it.

Sanga is also protection.
When the practice gets difficult, and it will, the community holds you. Not by fixing anything. But by being there. By continuing. By making it normal to keep going.

Sauca purifies. Krama organizes. Sanga sustains.

This is our third principle.

SANGA. Practice together. Walk together.
