Sometimes when I talk to women who ask about my online coaching, they say that they need to speak to their partners before making a commitment.⁣

Loads of trainers hate this objection.⁣

It can feel like a clumsy "no”. Before you know it, you’re avoiding the coach…⁣

The coach is left feeling confused, awkwardly following up but not wanting to be a pest.⁣

You’re stuck playing messenger tennis in which you don't want to leave that person with their problem… but also just want to close the open loop.⁣

But: I actually like "I want to speak to my partner first".⁣

I think it's a respectful move to make time that same evening to speak to your partner about a financial decision.⁣

Even when the decision to invest in your health is entirely your call, financially.⁣

You’re not asking for permission. It’s your money and your body, at the end of the day.⁣

But there’s nothing wrong with including them in a decision about your health.⁣

To me, that shows the person's values: Family. Respect. Loyalty...⁣

And most importantly to the coaching process: a willingness to communicate about important, and sometimes difficult, topics.⁣

Like health, and feelings, and money. That stuff matters, and it shows emotional maturity to ask for help.⁣

Personally, I reckon if coaches were a little more patient about that request to speak to the husband they would find themselves with more clients.⁣

Great clients, with awesome communication skills and values that likely match their own.⁣

They wouldn't unethically lean on people that weren't in the financial position to make a commitment to coaching - which they'd leave after a month anyway and ask for a refund.⁣

They wouldn't try to undermine the most important relationship their client has, damaging their relationship with the client before it's even begun.⁣

They wouldn't place sales above helping someone. So talk to your partner. Bring ‘em to the call, if you want to. I’d love to include them in your decision making process.⁣

People matter. Communication matters. Values matter.⁣

At least, I believe they do.

I think everyone knows about a calorie deficit by now, right?⁣

People aren’t confused about this as a means to lose weight any more, are they?⁣

But today, I’d like to talk about that other critical ingredient for fat loss.⁣

No, not insulin.⁣

Not NEAT.⁣

And not complicated detoxes, beautifully orchestrated by your internal organs without a single conscious decision from you either.⁣

I’m talking about patience.⁣

If you’re able to stick with the basics - the boring stuff - for longer than you feel like you ought to…⁣

Without getting annoyed at how long it’s taking…⁣

And as a result of being pi**ed off, slipping back into old habits…⁣

You will be successful. Patience is absolutely critical.⁣

Patience is the missing ingredient that no one seems to want to talk about.⁣

Online coaches and personal trainers have been banging the drum about calorie deficits for so long now, I’m not sure anyone is left confused.⁣

Especially people that have dieted before, which for most adult women, is just about all of them.⁣

But it’s far from the whole picture.⁣

Patience is just as important.⁣

Patience to keep going when things are boring.⁣

A capacity to do the boring work.⁣

That’s the difference between successfully shaping the body the way you want…⁣

And starting again on Monday.

Meet one of the amazing ladies inside the coaching hub .92 🤩⁣

Just like all the women I’m working with inside the program, Shaunee wanted to make a change, and this time for good!⁣

No more quick fixes.⁣
No more looking for short cuts.⁣
No more waiting for Monday. ⁣

This time she wanted to go all in!⁣

Gain back the confidence and happiness in herself and her body that she was missing for so long.⁣

Shaunee had put on weight over the last year during lockdown which made her feel uncomfortable, unhappy with herself and clothes just feeling tighter and tighter.⁣

Gaining back her confidence was top of her list when we set out her goals on our initial call as she wanted to be the best version of herself and just be able to look in the mirror and be happy!⁣

She was sick and tired of feeling like she had to wear baggy clothes to try and hide herself and wanted to stop making excuses where she would try and convince herself that “ohh it’s fine, I’ll exercise tomorrow and just keep eating instead”.⁣

Shaunee has achieved the above result over 3 months with just 4-5hrs per week of work using the systems we teach the ladies inside the coaching program.⁣

No restrictive diets.⁣

No boring meal plans.⁣

No training sessions that leave you feeling dead for weeks.⁣

A total loss of nearly 2 stone and a new perspective and mindset on how achievable your goals can be with the right approach and work ethic.⁣

and most importantly, the trust in yourself that it’s time to make a change and that you do deserve to reach your best version 👊

Stop glamorizing busy.⁣

I’m on a mission to stop as many people as I can from thinking “busy!” is an acceptable answer to “how are you?”⁣

There are no prizes given out in Heaven for who had the least fun.⁣

Now, please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying don’t work hard.⁣

But make sure the stuff you’re busy doing, all that work…?⁣

Does actually pay off for you.⁣

And not some magical day in the future either.⁣

Make sure you’re stopping to smell the roses from time to time, y’know? Lift your head up and enjoy the view.⁣

You don’t want to wake up one day, realising you’ve been on a treadmill of putting other people’s needs before your own, and wonder where all the time has gone.⁣

No one is going to do it for you. No one can.⁣

But when you’re ready to get a little help with it, I’m here.

Got a question for you and I’m curious how many of you would take this deal...⁣

If you could have the body of your dreams, it would look and feel and perform EXACTLY as you wanted it to...⁣

But your scale weight didn’t change one bit?⁣

Would you take that deal?⁣

Whatever goal you’re chasing - you’d have it.⁣

However you wanted to look - you’d get it.⁣

Whatever feeling you want about your body - whether that’s confidence, strength, feeling capable... you’d be it.⁣

I bet almost all of you would bite my hand off for that.⁣

And yet I still speak to women every single day that place the importance of what the scale says above everything else.⁣

Women are outrageously let down by the diet industry and it pi**es me off.⁣

You need to look a certain way, or weigh a certain amount... and it’s bullsh*t.⁣

There’s too much focus on the number on the scale.⁣

Inside my coaching programme, our focus is on taking ownership of how you want to look and feel and perform.⁣

How you can show up at your best, with the right energy and feeling completely in control of your decisions around food and exercise.⁣

If that speaks to you? And you read that and thought “at last!”⁣

I want to speak to you. I’m building a community that would suit you down to the ground.⁣

Let’s talk... x

𝐁𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬.⁣

Those little time cushions that you factor into your guess for how long it takes to do stuff.⁣

..Or you don't, and you're constantly late, or flapping to get things finished.⁣

Last week I spoke to a new online coaching client about how long she thought she could work out for each day.⁣

She's working from home with all the demands on her time that you’d expect - plus caring for a young daughter, and a shift worker husband.⁣

She thought about it... she could find 45 minutes every day.⁣

I made her programme less than half that.⁣

Around 20 minutes long, 3 times a week.⁣

Buffering a programme is one of the most helpful things a good coach can do in these circumstances.⁣

Now she'll open that programme 3 times a week - and think "this is easy, I'm smashing this!"⁣

As a result?⁣

She'll do more workouts... more consistently... and stick with the programme for longer...⁣

Meaning: She'll make amazing progress.⁣

That's the power of a buffer.⁣

If I wrote a 45-minute programme spanning 7 days a week?⁣

She might get one or two sessions done.⁣

But stuff would crop up.⁣

45-minute sessions with a buffer? She'd need over an hour.⁣

Every day.⁣

With a little kid needing to be entertained while dad sleeps off nights?⁣

It wouldn't fit into her life.⁣

But with this buffering method, we've got a system that she can stick with long term.⁣

How many times have you started a new workout programme - keen as mustard - only to fall off the wagon after a couple of weeks?⁣

Buffering may help…⁣

But working with a coach that understands you and the unique demands on your life will help faster.⁣

𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡.⁣

It's one of the few things you can completely control about your life - which means that it's something which can empower you.⁣

Making food choices that you like, give you energy and don’t make you feel guilty.⁣

And a training programme that allows you to make progress, but feels realistic and enjoyable⁣

When you have these 2 little areas of your life in hand, they spur you on.⁣

They give you a positive focus that you are undeniably missing when these things are out of control.⁣

They also make it easier to deal with those things which aren't completely 100% in your control; that sticky work situation, your relationships with others, etc.⁣

I say this all the time: You can't pour from an empty vessel.⁣

Take care of yourself physically - protect your health goals, because that will protect you mentally.⁣

And that level of being okay, and feeling in control will spill over into other things.⁣

It makes those harder to manage parts of your life a bit more manageable.⁣

It’s not really about the weight loss. At least, not just about that.⁣

That’s just a bonus, really.⁣

If you’re looking for some help with that? My inbox is open.

𝗪𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐞.⁣

You're in mild discomfort, but it's not like you can't keep going.⁣

It's not so bad at first...⁣

But by the end of the day, you're in bits.⁣

You could have stopped when you first realised.⁣

Taken off your shoe, tipped out the stone, and gone on with your day in comfort.⁣

That little stone is the self talk about all the changes we "should" be making.⁣

So many of us tolerate that little stone.⁣

We make excuses about why now isn't a good time.⁣

We think of the things we could be spending money on other than our health.⁣

We reckon ourselves time poor or lacking in direction.⁣

So you live with the stone, and the pain it causes you.⁣

Sometimes, for years.⁣

Years of negative self-talk.⁣

Years of needless pain. ⁣

Years of living as a less fully-realised version of yourself.⁣

So much so, that when you make the decision to actually do something about it - the sense of relief you feel is unbelievable.⁣

“𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬”⁣

I had this conversation with a client this week and it helped us massively. ⁣

I’d love to tell you about it.⁣

Like loads of women, she’d joined the programme for weight loss. ⁣

She wanted to drop about 2 stone and after a few weeks of the scales bouncing around, we had a conversation.⁣

She said, “thin women are bitches” - it was an off the cuff comment but it was the key to everything.⁣

She’s been struggling to make progress with her weight loss goal and we’d been struggling to figure out why she was sabotaging herself.⁣

This comment revealed that she felt conflicted. On one hand, she wanted to lose weight…⁣

…but on the other, some part of her believed slim women that had a physique she wanted weren’t the kind of person she wanted to be.⁣

That’s the key to it all.⁣

She’d been struggling with her goal because she didn’t want to see herself as one of THOSE women.⁣

Shallow. Vain. Even vapid. ⁣

Now, obviously, this isn’t what slim women are like, and on a conscious level she understood that.⁣

But unconsciously, it was creating a fair bit of friction for her and stopping her from accepting the new identity.⁣

Once we were able to address that…⁣

It was like a switch had been flipped. Now she’s flying along.⁣

If you’ve been bouncing around your weight loss goal for a while…⁣

And you keep getting palmed off with the “calorie deficit” crew where the extent of their coaching is “eat less, move more”…?⁣

There’s a better way, and you deserve it. ⁣

**𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭**⁣

This week marked a huge milestone in the growth of and for everyone involved.⁣

Ever since I began a career in the health & fitness industry I’ve always wanted to help change peoples lives at the greatest level possible.⁣

I knew the impact I wanted to leave in this world was never going to come from just training and nutrition advice alone as after doing that for many years I wondered why so many women constantly reverted back to square one, self sabotaging and undoing all their hard work time and time again, ending up even unhappier than when they started.⁣

As the years have gone on, i’ve invested heavily to learn from some of the top industry leaders from all around the world and have worked day and night building a service that I truly believe not many other people out there have to offer.⁣

The coaching program we run inside is far more than just weight loss and living healthier.⁣

Yes that’s the initial goal but the catalyst that drives that change and everything else is your mindset.⁣

Basically the stuff that goes on in between the four walls inside your own head every single day. ⁣

How you speak to yourself.⁣
How you act towards yourself.⁣
How you think to yourself.⁣

Your mind can be your worst enemy, or it can be your best friend.⁣

And inside the program we work on changing every single part of your entire life so you can finally start believing, operating and living at a level that you never thought possible. ⁣

We are driven to transform people’s lives in absolutely every sense, and as the community grows I know I am going to need support from more experienced individuals who specialise in their own areas so we can all work together at completely transforming your life.⁣

Which is why this week we welcomed on board our very own in house mindset coach and psychotherapist .your.best.self

Making this program one of the very few in the entire world to offer coaching and support from a fully qualified practitioner in this area.⁣

Very exciting times ahead and I can’t wait for you all to witness the impact we leave on this world 🌎⚔️👊
