“Thank you, Katie.”💚🥊

What a privilege it was to welcome Katie Taylor back to Trinity College Dublin on Friday, 4th Sept as Front Square played host to the official weigh in ahead of her historic final fight at Croke Park.

Just one day later, Katie stepped into the ring for the final time, bringing an extraordinary career to a close with another victory in front of a home crowd.

Following the honour of welcoming Katie to Trinity earlier this summer, ahead of receiving her Honorary Degree from the University, it was incredibly special to see Front Square become part of the celebrations marking the final chapter of her remarkable career.

Thank you, Katie, for everything you have given to Irish sport, women’s sport and the generations who will follow. 💚🥊

The final chapter 🥊💙

Back in June, we had the privilege of welcoming Katie Taylor to Trinity College Dublin, where she reflected on her remarkable career, her legacy and her dream of bringing her final fight to Croke Park.

“This is the stuff of fairytales; I can’t think of a better way to end my career.”

Tomorrow (Friday, 4th Sept) we look forward to welcoming Katie back to Trinity as Front Square hosts the official weigh in ahead of her historic final fight against Flora Pili at Croke Park on Saturday, 5th September.

From Regent House to Front Square and on to Croke Park, we’re proud to be in Katie’s corner as she prepares for the final chapter of an extraordinary career.

Wishing Katie every success this weekend. 🥊

Trinity Sport was delighted to welcome university sport professionals from across Europe to Trinity College Dublin for the 2026 ENAS Experience from the 25th - 28th August.

Under the theme “Delivering Inclusive and Impactful Sporting Programmes for All”, colleagues came together for three days of knowledge sharing, practical sessions and discussion focused on making university sport and physical activity more accessible and inclusive.

From sharing best practice from our FISU award winning Women in Sport campaign, to exploring mental health and physical activity through Mind Body Boost, disability awareness and accessibility, and Pride in Sport, the Experience provided an opportunity to share our learnings while gaining valuable insights from our European colleagues.

The programme also brought together expertise from Trinity disAbility Service Service and the Irish Wheelchair Association, demonstrating the value of collaboration in creating more inclusive opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity.

Taking place during Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Experience highlighted the value of international collaboration and knowledge exchange in developing more inclusive sporting environments for all.
