Clondalkin RFC is proud to announce that ARYZTA (Cuisine de France) has once again stepped forward to support our CCRO Youth Programme for a second consecutive year.

With a generous sponsorship of €5,000, ARYZTA is now our largest supporter—helping us to fund a dedicated CCRO officer who brings rugby directly into local schools across Dublin West. This vital role allows us to introduce more young people to the game, promote active lifestyles, and create inclusive opportunities within our community.

Support like this makes a real and lasting difference. It enables us to reach more children, remove barriers to participation, and continue building a strong, positive environment through sport.

The Clondalkin U18s narrowly lost out to Arklow U18s in the Leinster Plate Final in a terrific game of rugby played at Donnybrook. Clon will feel hard done by after an unusual touch judge intervention led to the referee overturning his decision to award the boys in yellow a try. But the Clon lads never gave up and their performance in the Final typified their never-say-die attitude all season. A brilliant bunch of lads that everyone can be very proud of. Well done all.

Clondalkin U18s 27-26 Tullamore U18s

The Clondalkin RFC U18s secured a narrow win over Tullamore in the Leinster Plate semi-final in an exciting game played on neutral ground in Portlaoise.

In dry conditions, both teams put everything into the game. The tackling was fierce and the action non-stop but the game was played in a good spirit and there was plenty of high quality rugby for the crowd to enjoy. Stand-out performers for Clon were the brilliant second row Gavin Brown, who stretched for the line to score an excellent try after a typical bulldozing run, and Leon Hyland, who bagged a brace of tries and was a menace to the Tullamore defence all day. Skillful full back Bruno McCann had a 100% record off the tee with two penalties and three conversions and namesake half backs James and Conor Murphy controlled the pace of the game superbly.

Clon came out firing right from the start and were on the front foot for large parts of the game, with neat interplay between backs and forwards and plenty of go-forward ball from the likes of Fallon, Fanning, Murphy and Doyle. The front row of Lynch, Morrell and Hayden punched holes in the opposition defence all game and Leinster star Franklin Onwuzulumba displayed his full range of skills, including an amazing try-saving tackle when it seemed Tullamore would surely score. His centre partner, Tyler Branning also had an excellent game and found some brilliant touchfinders to keep Clondalkin in the right areas of the pitch. The pace in the Clon backline was on show throughout with Travis Boggans, Alex Brennan, James Taylor, Cathal Ó Ciardha and Drú Sweeney all playing their part in the win. Callum Cleary made a big contribution both in the tight and the loose and Captain, Seán Carroll led by example with a complete performance, including playing through the pain barrier to lead his team over the winning line.

Although Clondalkin raced to a 27-7 lead, the men from Offaly finished strongly but ultimately ran out of time in their comeback and the lads in yellow and blue, brilliantly coached by Jay Radcliffe and Conor Branigan, now have a Leinster Final to look forward to and a chance to pick up some silverware in a high quality end to the season.
