🇮🇪 Irish Schools Championships Success 🇮🇪

Our KVAC athletes once again demonstrated their talent on the national stage while representing their schools at the Irish Secondary Schools Track & Field Championships.

Leading the way were the St Brigid’s Presentation Killarney Junior Girls 4x100m Relay Team, affectionately known as our KVAC Cheetahs 🐆, who powered their way to a fantastic National Silver Medal 🥈.

Adding to the medal haul was David Watson (CII Abbeyfeale) who claimed a brilliant Bronze Medal 🥉 in the Inter Boys High Jump.

To qualify for an Irish Schools Championship is a significant achievement in itself, and to return home with national medals and top-six finishes is a testament to the hard work, dedication and talent of these young athletes.

Well done to all who proudly represented their schools and Killarney Valley AC at the highest level of schools athletics.

🌟 Big Day for KVAC Sprinter Keelie Tomorrow! 🌟

Best of luck to KVAC senior sprinter Keelie O’Connor as she takes to the track tomorrow (Monday 25th May) in the 100m at the prestigious Stratford Grand Prix in London.

Keelie is an inspirational member of our club community. A primary school teacher by profession, she balances inspiring young students in the classroom with the commitment and dedication required to compete at an elite level on the track.

After an excellent start to her outdoor season, we can’t wait to see what she can produce against top-class competition.

☀️ Another Super Day in the Sun for Our Youngest Athletes! 💚💜

Day 2 of the Munster Juvenile Championships in Waterford brought more fantastic performances from our youngest stars. Another Munster Champion was crowned, alongside several podium finishes, loads of personal bests and plenty of proud smiles from Team KVAC.

🥇 Munster Champion🚀 Reece O’Donoghue claimed Munster Gold in the U12 Boys Turbo Javelin with a superb display.

🔥 NATIONAL LEAGUE ATHLETICS 2026 🔥

We are thrilled to announce that Killarney Valley Athletic Club will be competing in the Athletics Ireland National Track & Field League this summer. 💚💜

This prestigious team-based competition sees clubs from across the country battle it out with one athlete representing their club in each event, earning points based on finishing positions.

We are incredibly proud to say that both our Senior Women’s & Men’s Teams have built the depth, talent and ambition to compete with the very best clubs in Ireland. From sprints to distance, jumps to throws, this is a huge milestone for our club and a reflection of the incredible work of our athletes, coaches and volunteers over many years.
