From Stress to Stillness 🧘‍♀️💻

In the middle of deadlines, meetings, and constant screen time, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause.

We had the privilege of conducting an engaging online corporate yoga session for the wonderful team at **Hinduja Leyland Finance** on Zoom.

The session focused on:
✨ Desk-friendly stretches
🌿 Neck & shoulder mobility
💨 Mindful breathing techniques
🧘 Relaxation to reduce stress and improve focus

A few mindful minutes can make a remarkable difference—helping employees feel more energized, focused, and ready to take on the day.

A heartfelt thank you to **Hinduja Leyland Finance** for prioritizing employee well-being and creating space for healthier work habits.

Here’s to building workplaces where wellness is part of the work culture. 💙

Santosha is a concept from yogic philosophy that refers to contentment or satisfaction with the present moment.

It is one of the Niyamas described in the Yoga tradition, where it is presented as a mental discipline rather than a passive feeling.

Practising Santosha does not mean avoiding goals or giving up on improvement.

It means not relying on external results for emotional stability and staying mentally balanced whether you succeed or fail.

In texts such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, contentment is described as a state that leads to greater inner stability and reduced mental disturbance caused by desire or comparison.

Similar ideas are also found in the Bhagavad Gita, which repeatedly highlights maintaining balance and steadiness in all life situations.

“Content with whatever comes unsought, free from envy, and balanced in success and failure…”
- Bhagavad Gita 4.22

Surprising but true: even yoga teachers have days when they don’t feel like getting on the mat. We don’t wake up every day full of motivation and discipline. Some days, showing up on the mat feels just as hard for us as it does for you.

Our jobs are easy. We just show up, do a few poses, and leave, right? Not really. Teaching yoga goes far beyond what you see in class. We hold space. We prepare. We study. We show up, no matter what kind of day we’re having. And that’s just the visible part. Behind the scenes, there’s planning classes and workshops, responding to messages, managing attendance and payments, organising everything so the experience feels seamless for you.
Teaching yoga is many things, but easy isn’t one of them. (And honestly, this could be a whole post on its own.)

Also, yoga teachers are not always positive. We have bad days, we are still moving through the same ups and downs, we get overwhelmed, emotional and tired, because, well, we are humans first.

I don’t know all advanced postures. There are some that I’m not able to perform due to my range of motion or limited flexibility (yes, we’re not made out of rubber, or, most of us :)) Also,my body doesn’t want to go into certain shapes, and forcing it wouldn’t make sense. Being able to do advanced asanas doesn’t make someone a better teacher. If you’ve been following my page for a while, you know I talk a lot about the fact that yoga is so much more than the physical practice.

so, what are you?

that’s a question I return to whenever I feel stuck.
maybe you should too?

because until you’re clear on that, you won’t fully live the life you dream of.

the hard truth is:
the universe doesn’t give you what you want.
the universe doesn’t care whether you fail or succeed.
it simply responds to your frequency.

so stop chasing. forcing. resisting.

no, I don’t mean give up on your dreams.
I mean shift your mindset.

Train yourself to accept things for what they are.
to find the lesson in failure.
to seek gratitude even in the darkness.
to stop only wishing and wanting, and start acting instead.

that’s when your energy shifts and your frequency rises.
that’s when life starts feeling less like a fight, and more like something you’re finally in harmony with.

so think, feel, and act as if it’s already yours.
because when you embody your desires, you stop begging for them and start matching them.

and before you know it, you go from lack to abundance.

it feels as if the universe suddenly gave you everything you ever wanted, when in reality, it was your own inner work that brought you there.

that’s what manifestation really is.

so I’ll ask you again:
what are you?

with love,
Monica 🤍

Wellness doesn’t have to feel harsh to be transformative.

Less intensity. More consistency.
Less pressure. More awareness.
Less quick fixes. More long-term change.
