🎉🥊 Happy Birthday to the one and only Ian “The Pad Man” Dunbar! 🥊🎉

Today we’re celebrating a man who has become the heartbeat of Jersey Boxing Academy.

While most people would be enjoying a well-earned day off on their birthday, Ian is probably somewhere holding pads, designing new drills, shouting “Styles win fights!” or reminding everyone that “Discipline is key!” 😂

As we head towards our biggest show of the year in September, Ian has been working his socks off preparing the entire stable. The hours he puts in behind the scenes often go unnoticed, but the results certainly don’t. Every boxer who steps through our doors benefits from his passion, experience and relentless commitment to making them better.💪

If you ever wondered what dedication looks like, look no further than Ian. He’s the first one in, the last one out, and somehow still finds another combination or drill to keep everyone on their toes. The stubborn old mule will probably spend his birthday thinking about boxing instead of celebrating! 🤣

His standards are high because he genuinely cares, and that’s exactly why he’s one of the finest coaches around. He lives and breathes the sport, and Jersey Boxing Academy is a far better club because of him. 🙏

From all of your boxing family, thank you for everything you do, every hour you give and every boxer you’ve helped along the way. 🖤🤍

Exciting news! 🥊

I’m absolutely delighted Jersey Boxing Academy and Senior Accredited psychotherapist Lydia Falle are working together to support the next generation of boxers.

Thanks to the incredible backing from Jersey Sport, we’re launching a programme that will see five young athletes receive specialist mental performance coaching to help them build confidence, resilience, focus, and the mindset needed to perform at their very best, both inside and outside the ring.

In boxing, physical preparation is only part of the process. Developing a strong mind is just as important, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the positive impact this project has on these talented young athletes.

A huge thank you to Jersey Sport for believing in this initiative and helping make it possible. Your support is helping us invest in the future of boxing in Jersey.

Here’s to watching these athletes grow, develop, and reach their full potential on their journeys. 👊

🎉💰 WE HAVE A WINNER… AND YOU COULDN’T MAKE IT UP! 😂🥊

Out of everyone who entered our £1,000 Number Draw, the winner was… our very own Laura Hopley! 🤣🏆

We couldn’t even break the news to her in person… instead, we had to FaceTime her while she was busy sunbathing on the beach! ☀️🏖️ Safe to say it made her day!

But in true Laura fashion, she’s gone one step further and has incredibly donated £500 of her winnings straight back to Jersey Boxing Academy. ❤️👏

Laura, thank you so much for your generosity and for everything you do for the club behind the scenes. JBA simply wouldn’t be the same without you.

Congratulations (we’re definitely not jealous… much! 😜), and a huge thank you to everyone who bought a number and supported the draw. Every penny helps us continue providing opportunities for our boxers and the local community.
