This 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆, Vikings Sailing Club proudly celebrates our ongoing commitment to protecting the marine environment that brings us together.

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Through our annual Marsamxett Harbour clean-ups, carried out in collaboration with other dedicated organisations and entities, we work together to remove waste and preserve the beauty and health of our waters.

We also continue to promote greener practices through the SailGreen Erasmus+ project, empowering sailors and young people with the knowledge and tools to safeguard our seas for the future.
More work is needed. Every action counts. Every effort matters. Together, we can create a cleaner, more sustainable marine environment for generations to come.

Well done coach Emma Camilleri and optimist sailor Enrico Putzulu Caruana for representing Vikings at the World Boating Day event held last Saturday.

We are proud to share that Vikings Sailing Club has received funding support to attend the World Sailing Race Management Seminar that recently took place in Rotterdam.

This opportunity allowed our Commodore, Dr Sandra Agius Darmanin, to further strengthen expertise in race management, bringing valuable knowledge back to our club and contributing to the continued development of sailing standards locally.

We extend our sincere gratitude for this support, which plays a vital role in enhancing our capabilities and promoting excellence within our sailing community.

This project has been funded by the Training Initiatives Scheme (TIS) managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV)”

Join us in Malta on Saturday, 23 May, as we celebrate World Boating Day with a relaxed, family‑friendly morning by the sea at the private marina of Grand Hotel Excelsior Malta.

The event will begin with a waterside yoga and meditation session at 8:30am, offering a calm and energising start to the day. This will be followed by light refreshments and an informal talk and guidance session by Vikings Sailing Club, sharing insights into sailing and life on the water.

To round off the morning, participants will be invited to take part in a creative art activity, drawing what World Boating Day and boating life mean to them.

This event is designed to be relaxed, inclusive and enjoyable for all ages, celebrating the connection between people, the sea and the boating community.

Vikings Sailing Club is looking for an enthusiastic coach to inspire sailors of all ages and abilities.

You should have:
• Valid nautical licence
• Dinghy sailing/racing experience (Optimist and/or ILCA an asset)
• Coaching experience with recreational, racing, or inclusive groups
• Fluent English

🕒 Weekend availability year‑round, plus mornings from July–mid‑September (not a summer‑only role).
