Choosing a stroller SOUNDS SIMPLE at first…
..until you start looking at all the options. Suddenly, you’re comparing wheels, folds, fabrics, features and price tags and wondering HOW ON EARTH TO CHOOSE the right one for your family.

Three wheels, four wheels, travel systems, carrycots, reversible seats, one-hand folds, lightweight or not, big baskets… and then there’s the question nobody can answer for you - which one is actually right for YOUR lifestyle?

At Baby Talks, we’re joined by the lovely Sharon Callus, mum of three and founder of Bimbi Baby Shop, for our demo STROLLER WARS: WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

This practical, fun demo will help expectant and new parents cut through the noise and work out WHAT REALLY MATTERS when investing in a stroller.

We’ll look at different stroller options and the things you should be considering before you buy, from your budget and lifestyle to where you live, how much you walk, whether you’ll be using public transport or a car, storage space, ease of folding and lifting, longevity, comfort for baby and, of course, all those features that sound great in the shop but may or may not actually matter once you’re using it every day.

Sharon will share honest, practical advice based on years of helping parents choose baby products, while showcasing Anex, the premium European baby brand represented by Bimbi Baby Shop in Malta, known for combining design, comfort and functionality.

And because this is a DEMO, not a sales pitch, come with your questions! We’ll get into the nitty-gritty of what to look for, what to prioritise and where you might not need to spend extra.

Because the right stroller is the one that fits your baby, your budget and the life you’re actually going to live.

This demo is sponsored by Bimbi Baby Shop.

You'd expect having a baby to bring you closer as a couple…
..but it can also put your relationship under a LOT of pressure. And there’s a lot more to keeping the spark alive than simply 'finding time for eachother'.

At Baby Talks, we’re joined by Marisa Gatt, counsellor and social worker, for our mini-talk CO-PARENTING + YOUR RELATIONSHIP AFTER BABY, where you will be guided through the realities of navigating your relationship while adjusting to life with a baby.

From sharing responsibilities and the mental load, to communicating your needs without blame, managing disagreements and navigating different parenting styles, this warm and practical talk will tackle the things that can quietly create tension (and resentment!) between couples once baby arrives.

We’ll also talk about staying emotionally and physically connected when life feels completely consumed by your little one, setting healthy boundaries, and finding ways to repair after those inevitable difficult moments.

And because a healthy co-parenting relationship isn’t about getting everything perfectly 50/50, the focus will be on building a partnership that feels fair, respectful and responsive to what your family needs at different stages.

Whether you’re expecting your first baby or already finding your feet as new parents, this is a talk you shouldn't miss! Come along, listen, ask questions, and take the points mentioned home with you to continue the conversation ❤️

This mini-talk is sponsored by TAASC.

Pregnancy asks a lot of your body. Sometimes, what we need most is not to push harder, but to slow down, move with intention and feel supported.

This week at WOMB + MIND, we’re exploring how movement and support can help you feel more comfortable, confident and connected during pregnancy and as you prepare for birth.

Think less “perfect yoga pose” and more learning to trust your body, understand what feels good, and discover ways to support yourself through the physical demands of birth.

WOMB + MIND is prenatal yoga with a little more to it, combining movement, mindfulness and practical preparation for birth.

If you’re pregnant and looking for a space to move, breathe and feel more grounded, come join us every Wednesday at 18:00 at MyMama, Naxxar🧘🏻‍♀️

What if playtime could do so much more than simply keep your child busy?

How does play support your child’s development? How can simple toys encourage creativity, problem-solving and independence? And how can you join in without turning playtime into another lesson?

At Baby Talks, our mini-talk THE POWER OF PLAY, with Christina Chetcuti, will explore how everyday play can become a powerful way to support your child’s development while strengthening connection and having fun together.

We’ll look at why play is essential for toddlers and children, how it supports fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, language and communication, and why open-ended toys can encourage children to explore, imagine and create.

Christina will also give a hands-on demonstration of beautiful wooden open-ended toys from Nature Toys, showing how one simple toy can be used in so many different ways.

Because you don’t need lots of expensive or complicated toys to support your child’s development. Sometimes, the simplest toys create the richest play.

This mini-talk is sponsored by Nature Toys.

What happens when we PAUSE and let babies LEAD THE WAY?

Some of the most meaningful moments with your baby happen when we simply slow down and pay attention.

We’re delighted to welcome the Parent-Infant Mental Health Alliance to the MyMama Hub with Wait, Watch, Wonder - an 8-week programme that helps parents discover how observing, following and responding to their baby’s lead can strengthen connection and support healthy development.

Led by Occupational Therapists with specialist training in perinatal mental health, the programme offers a supportive space to understand your baby in a different way, gain practical insights and discover the value of those small, everyday moments together.

Tuesdays at 16:00 at the MyMama Hub, Naxxar - starting 13 October 2026.

The programme is aimed at parents and babies 6-12 months of age and is FREE OF CHARGE, with a €20 registration fee per family. Places are limited.

To register, email [email protected].

This programme is supported through the Small Initiatives Support Scheme, with the support of the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) and the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector.

No parent is an island, especially when you’re raising a child on one.

How can I balance work and time with my family? What am I entitled to when I return to work? What are the ins and outs of the free childcare scheme? What are the financial implications and where can I get guidance? Who can I turn to for breastfeeding, health or emotional support?

At Baby Talks, our panel RAISING A CHILD IN MALTA brings together top experts from different corners of family life to help you make sense of it all.

We’ll talk about childcare options, employment rights and leave entitlements, flexible work and the tax refund for women returning to work, the financial realities of raising children, national health services, private support, community initiatives and the practical resources available to parents in Malta.

Because so much support is there. You just need to know where to find it.

This panel is sponsored by St Paul’s Childcare & Early-Learning Centre.
