⚽️ WEEKEND RESULTS ⚽️

Ngl, some phat results. 🤷 (not just academic weapons it seems) (also like just weapons)

Over at Tonga Park, our Men’s Fletcher Cup could simply not be reigned in as they bring home a 5-0 victory over Dunedin City Royals! 🔥 (giving king energy)

In a similar fashion, our Women’s Reserves put on a crowning performance against Dunedin City Royals Development to clutch the 4-0 win! 😮‍💨 (ok ok queen energy)

Our girls have now finished 2nd in the Championship with only 1 goal conceded, and look forward to kicking off the Southern Premier League. 💪

Couple of early goals could neighhhh-ver stall these cowboys, as our Men’s Premier played a strong game of catchup (like foal horsepower perhaps) to draw 2-2 with Roslyn Wakari. 🫡

Twas a close match between our Women’s Premier and the Universities of Canterbury this afternoon, with a late goal unfortunately leaving our girls down 2-1 at the final whistle. 🤝 (it’s ok, you’re still my Varsity x)

Special shoutout to our Women’s Thirds who also wrapped up the Championship in 4th place, trailing closely behind three SPL teams - awesome effort, ladies! 🤩

41 goals scored across the board is not👏too👏shabby👏 at all - p**i p**i to all our teams this weekend! ✨

🤝 MATCHDAY SPONSOR 🤝

Our sponsor for today’s Women’s Premier match is…Linda Woolley! ✨

Now, this surname might ring a bell (and ring a bell it should), and that’s because our fine collection of Woolleys simply wouldn’t be complete without the OG diva herself. 😌 (it’s an honour, really)

A massive thank you to Linda for sponsoring our match today - the club appreciates your ongoing support! 🫶

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY‼️

Want to get involved as a matchday sponsor and help our teams out? 🙌 (i’m seeing a few nods out there)

⚽️ WEEKEND FIXTURES ⚽️

Catching Varsity all around the clock this weekend! ✨

It may be a Satdee night, but there’ll be no horsing around from our Men’s Premier as they saddle up to Roslyn Wakari on the Turf at 6:30pm! Not quite pasture bedtime, so let’s get the support out for the lads. 🫡 (enough about horses, i heard a certain moose is hitting his big 50th)

There’s something of a royal rumble brewing out at Tonga Park as our Men’s Fletcher Cup bring the fizz to Dunedin City Royals at 12:30pm! 💪

In the last round of their Championship league, our Women’s Reserves are also looking for some throne turmoiling against Dunedin City Royals Development on the Multi Sport Turf at 3pm! 👀

On Sunday, it’s the classic Varsity showdown on the Turf as our Women’s Premier face the Universities of Canterbury! Heard there might be a score to settle here (sizzle sizzle), so get along and support the ladies at 12:30pm. 🔥 ( )

Good luck to all our teams this weekend! 😎

🏆 JACK SKELLETT MEMORIAL CUP RECAP 🏆

Last Monday night, Round 2 of the Jack Skellett Memorial Cup saw a game-changing, paradigm-shifting 2-0 win to the Fourths, bringing the aggregate score of both teams to 3-3. 👀 (i told you, Fourths are in their ✨redemption era✨)

After a hissing 3-1 victory to Cobras in Round 1, you might be thinking - how on earth did the Cobras let that one slither out of their hands? 🤷 (perhaps it was a…reptile dysfunction) (ok sorry let’s not call HR)

Well, rest assured it was a fiercely contested match with Cobras laying the pressure on early against a defence from Fourths that was simply resemblant of steel. 😮‍💨

However, the second half came into play and, off an unsuspecting corner, it was none other than your very own Mr Club Prezzy, Jerry Mackey, whose not-so-retired legs volleyed a once-in-a-millennium screamer into the top-left bins. 🔥 (let him cook) (man’s just reliving his glory days)

And with that, a tie on aggregate can only mean one thing…grand finale incoming. 🤝 (absolute havoc incoming)

Stay tuned. 🐍

⚽️ WEEKEND RESULTS ⚽️

Cup-le of goodies for Cup weekend! ✨

Down in Invers, our Men’s Premier kept the suspense high after a 2-2 draw with Old Boys at the 90. However, extra time saw our boys bring the extra sauce, finishing the job with a 5-3 win in the end! 🫡 (probs wanted their fuel money’s worth of gametime) (so valid ngl)

On the Turf, it was a tough shift for our Men’s Fletcher Cup to go down 1-0 to Mosgiel at the final whistle. 🤝

Just this afternoon, our Women’s Premier got back on the horse after a mare draw last week and knew what was neighhhh-cessary, riding away with a convincing 4-0 victory over Roslyn Wakari! 😮‍💨

We now progress to Round 3 in both the Chatham Cup and the Kate Sheppard Cup! 🔥

P**i p**i to all our teams this weekend, and we wish all our players the best of luck for exams! 👏

⚽️ WEEKEND FIXTURES ⚽️

The finest of selections for this long weekend! ✨

Round 2 of the Chatham Cup sees some highly flammable goods on the road to Invers, as our Men’s Premier brings the sizzle down south to Old Boys at 3pm! 🔥

There may also be a warm breeze coming from the home Turf, and that’s because it’s about to get heated with our Men’s Fletcher Cup taking on Mosgiel at 12:30pm. 🤝

Fast forward to King’s Birthday - specifically at 2pm on the Turf - our Women’s Premier might joust be the centaur of attention (like it’s literally Monday) as they face Roslyn Wakari in Round 2 of the Kate Sheppard Cup! 🫡 (do you feel that…neighhhh-jà vu)

Good luck to all our teams this weekend! 🙌
