The home of archery in Dunedin. Dunedin Archery Club is a target archery club based at Chingford Park in the North East Valley.

We cater for absolute beginners in our 5-week learner courses and have a range of recurve, compound, crossbow and longbow archers shooting on a Saturday. Our learners shoot at 10am (with coaches present) and our intermediate and senior archers usually shoot from around 11:30am onwards. We are part of the South Island Districts Archery Association and Archery New Zealand.

A big morning at Chingford, great turnout of up and coming archers, a visit from Maddie. After a recent successful Records in Progress Tournament, all the Archers received their ANZ New Zealand record certificates presented by our new President Callum. We'll done guys.

Second day of DAC's Logistically Iconic Indoors. Some exciting and very close competitions in the Individual Matchplay today. Thank you to all our visitors from out of town, either supporting a family member or shooting. We wish you safe travels and see you all again soon.

Happy King’s Birthday weekend 👑! Have a lie in on Saturday - there will be no club shooting this weekend as many of our coaches (and targets) will be offsite for our Indoor Tournament. Good luck to all archers taking part

Paul and I training for the Indoors. It is a bit different for me right now. After breaking my ankle and fibula and being stuck in plaster, I’ve gained a little understanding of what it’s like shooting from a chair—and I can assure you, there is absolutely no advantage to it.
Beyond the shooting line, the hardest part has been losing my independence—relying on people for transport and having things done for me. I’ve still got another 8 weeks of this recovery ahead, hopefully, so please bear with me and be patient, Paul! 😉

Despite the almost sub zero temperature, wind and rain. We had a good turnout of budding Archers with our Mother's Day Have a Go. Thanks must go to all the club volunteers who made the day a success.

Thanks to the hardy souls who came to try archery in less than ideal conditions today. We had fun introducing some new archers to the sport! If you want to learn to shoot, resister for our beginners courses here: https://www.dunedinarcheryclub.co.nz/beginners
