🏊 Swim the Distance is Back for 2026! 🏊
Wow, where has the year gone? Spring is just around the corner, and to help bridge the gap, Swim the Distance is returning for August and September 2026!
This year, we're bringing back our popular iPad distance-entry system with an exciting new feature. If you participated in Swim the Distance last year, you'll be able to compare your progress and see how your distance stacks up against your 2025 achievements.
Spot Prizes – New for 2026
We're also changing the way spot prizes are awarded.
When a participant rings the bell to celebrate reaching their distance goal, we'll recognise their achievement and then draw a spot prize from everyone who has swum at least 1 kilometre during that week.
This change puts the focus on rewarding participants who are consistently swimming and working towards their personal goals throughout the challenge.
Recognition Event
To celebrate everyone's efforts, we'll be holding a Recognition Event on:
📅 Sunday, 11 October 2026
🕑 2.00 pm
The venue will be confirmed closer to the date, but feel free to add it to your calendar now.
We look forward to seeing you in the pool and helping you achieve your distance goal this year. Good luck, and happy swimming! 🌊🏊♀️🏊♂️

SWIM THE DISTANCE
WOW where has the year gone, already heading towards spring and to help bridge that gap our swim the distance is back.
August and September 2026 brings back our Ipad distance entry with an exciting new feature. If you did the swim the distance last year, you will be able to see how you are tracking distance wise this year compared to last year.
Spot prizes will work slightly differently this year as well. When someone rings the bell for making the distance, we will acknowledge this person and then draw a spot prize for anyone that has swam at least 1km that week. This places the focus on making rewarding swim the distance participants are consistently swimming and trying to get to your goal.
A recognition event will be held on the 11th of October at 2pm, look out for the location closer to the time, but you can pop this into your calendar now.
