In what could be ‘BEST’ described as trying conditions, Gisborne Bowling Club completed the finals of the Pairs Club Champs. Congratulations to everyone who took part and Good Luck to those going on to represent the club in Champ of Champs.

Junior Champs: John Donnelly and Les Bracewell beat Roger & Barbara Langford.

Senior Women: Tanya Harrison & Ginny Sherriff beat Adrienne Torrie & Libby Clay.

Senior Men: Malcolm Trowell & Andrew Ball beat Peter Ferris & Chris Bunyan

Beetham Sponsored Doug Neilson Triples … A HUGE turnout …. 51 players, sadly three had to sit out, but5 they were happy to do so!

We have all heard the saying ‘ make hay whilst the sunshines’ one can only assume whoever coined the phrase hadn’t or didn’t play bowls.
Today 16 teams, 48 Players competed in the Doug Neilson Open Triples. It was great to see players from Kahutia, Poverty Bay & Gisborne all vying for that top prize.
