Just 8 days until club nights are back! We’re so excited to see everyone back at the track, ready to race!

To keep Ham BMX running smoothly, we rely on our awesome volunteers lending a hand and we’d love for you to get involved!

There are plenty of ways you can help on club nights, including:

• Setting up
• Gear hire table
• Flags
• Rider call-up
• Gates
• Kitchen duties
• Packing up

All of these jobs are easy to learn, and you don’t need to commit every week. Even helping out occasionally makes a huge difference. When we all pitch in, we can keep club nights running smoothly!

If you’re keen to lend a hand at our first club night next Wednesday or anytime throughout the season send us a message!

Mark the calendar, the second half of the season kicks off on Wednesday 26 August, and we can't wait to see you all there!
To help the first night run smoothly, please sort your half season pass before we start (this covers you for every club night through to the end of the year).

As shared at the AGM, there's a small increase from $25 to $30 this season to help keep things running smoothly for everyone and allows us to keep running sqorz.

Watch the racing, chat with our experienced riders or jump on a bike and give it a go. Everyone’s welcome! Bikes and safety gear are available for hire. Enjoy an evening of family fun!

WHAT A WEEK!! 4 days of Ham BMX riders showing the world we can play in the big leagues! All of our riders gave every ride their all and as a club we couldn’t be more proud of the effort they put in! It takes an insane amount of work, time, effort, skill & dedication to compete at a world level so we want to congratulate each and every rider for doing the hard part. A special congratulations go to the following riders who have achieved top 10 world titles:

John Hayes - World 4, 35+ men
Richie Stratford - Word 3, cruiser, 40-44 men
Nixon Banks - World 4, 15y men
Thor Piso - World 8, 10y men
Tate Burdon- World 7, 12 & under cruiser

A message from Grant Rennie, Ham BMX VP:
What a wonderful Worlds campaign and an incredible way to wrap up the racing on the last day. I know that our club will be super proud of the Hamilton BMX Club President John Hayes on his W4. I am pretty sure that makes him the highest ranked club President in NZ and I reckon good odds for highest in the world. I was very proud to see so many people achieve great things this week - fighting back from last place on the first straight to make 4th and transfer to semis; getting into finals racing in spite of the odds; seeing the results of a huge training effort; soaking up the atmosphere and telling everyone back home how great it is; losing voices cheering for other kiwis; picking oneself up off the ground after crashing out and later reflecting on how fortunate we are, how much fun we have, how much support we get, and how much work we put in - even if it really sucks at the time. First, last, or somewhere in between, competing, supporting or watching from home wasn’t this a fantastic worlds!
