First class back for term 2 today - and it was FABULOUS! We did a workout that was filled with variety, and we worked so many muscles!

We had a fabulous time in our classes in term 1 of 2026.
It's time for a short break for the school holidays. Our first class back will be Friday 24th April. We had a couple of beautiful new ladies join the class in term 1 πŸ™‚ You too can come and give this amazing class a go. Hooping flattens your tummy, strengthens your core and lower back, and the rest of the class will give you a strong body and mind. You will love it just as much as we do!

Hi everyone. My name is Lydia, I am 49 years old, and I am a hoop fitness instructor and massage therapist. I started hooping at home seven years ago, just for fun, and quickly fell in love with how it made me feel β€” strong, free, playful, and completely in the moment. A year later, I trained as an instructor so I could share that feeling with others, and I’ve been hooping (and smiling!) ever since.

Hooping is such a beautiful mix of movement and mindfulness. It’s fun, it lifts your mood, and it connects you with your inner child β€” who doesn’t want that feeling? Like so many women, I juggle a lot in life, but when I pick up my hoop, everything else just falls away.

My Friday morning class is one of the highlights of my week. It’s not just about exercise β€” it’s about the amazing group of women who come along, from their 30s right through to their late 60s. They inspire me constantly with their progress, laughter, and energy. They really do fill my cup.

Hooping is for everyone β€” no matter your age or experience. It’s fantastic for building strength, coordination, and confidence, and it does wonders for your overall wellbeing. Don’t be afraid to give it a go β€” we all started somewhere, and I promise you, it’s so much fun. πŸ’ž

My class is on Friday morning's at 9:15am at the Te Kowhai Hall.

🌟 Hooping Classes – Come Give It a Spin! 🌟

I don’t post often (definitely not a social media pro πŸ˜…) β€” but honestly, these hooping classes are way too good to keep quiet about!

We use a weighted hula hoop for a full-body workout that:
πŸ’« Tones your waist
πŸ’« Flattens your tummy
πŸ’« Strengthens your lower back
πŸ’« And makes you smile while you sweat!

We use the hoop for about a third of the class, and the rest is a great strength-based workout that leaves you feeling strong, energised, and proud of what your body can do.

It’s a great workout, but even better company β€” we’ve got an amazing group of ladies who make every class something to look forward to.

Ohope 2024! Another fabulous camping holiday. 2 more nights left of 8, and I've hooped every day, amongst all the daily activities.
