The Ultimate Definition of Redefining Limits 🇬🇧🥇

Helen Glover’s journey in rowing is nothing short of legendary. Talent-scouted at age 20 through UK Sport's "Sporting Giants" programme without having ever rowed a single stroke, she proved that raw determination combined with elite grit can defy all expectations. Just four years later, she made history by winning Britain's first-ever women's Olympic rowing gold.

As if that wasn't an extraordinary enough legacy, she retired after Rio 2016, welcomed three children, and then staged an incredible comeback to become the first mother to ever row for Team GB at an Olympics.

An absolute icon of our sport who continues to break boundaries on and off the water.

The Tauranga Rowing Club Learn to Row Programme is back for Term 3, 2026!

This is a fantastic opportunity for college-age students to learn a new sport, make new friends and develop fitness, teamwork, and resilience in a supportive environment.

✅ No experience necessary
✅ All equipment provided
✅ Training twice a week (Sunday mornings + one weekday after school)
✅ Learn from experienced coaches
✅ Have fun on the water!
