GRAVEL TRAINING FOR ROAD RIDERS - still space left this Friday 2 October.
This course is run by Andrew Templeton and held in Paraparaumu. It's a unique opportunity for road riders on adventure bikes to gain more confidence riding on gravel roads or loose surfaces, or for riders who want to begin adventure riding. Depending on the weather Andrew will find you lots of learning opportunities on the day. 😀

Who's going to join us at the Biker's Breakfast this weekend?
🗓 Saturday 26 September, 8.30am - 12.30pm
📍 Southwards Car Museum, Otaihanga Rd, Kapiti
Come and enjoy a free hot drink and bacon buttie.
The Motorcycle Collective will be setting up a safety gear Op Shop with a range of motorcycle apparel and equipment at awesome prices and there will be a variety of local clubs attending, including the Ulysses Motorcycle Club, the Central Gems and Riders Against Cancer.
A blind zone demonstration will show how easily a motorcycle can be invisible to large trucks – sit in the cab of the truck and see if you can spot the bikes! 👀
There will be a helmet cleaning station and free rider safety packages that include important safety items like screen cleaners and re-usable hand warmers.
Come talk bike safety and admire the wide range of bikes in the lot - cruisers, sports bikes, Harleys, and more!
This event is being held in collaboration with Kapiti Coast District Council, Upper Hutt City Council and Southwards Car Museum.

Another great MAM event that we attended at Cyclespot Wellington in Lower Hutt last Thursday. We shared some information about the MAM Ride Forever course promotion and the courses in general. The sales team at CycleSpot talked about the new safety gear from Alpinestars. People were mingling with a cheese, crackers and grapes grazing board, along with pizzas and cold fizzy drinks.

Great event last Tuesday night at Capital Motorcycles. The focus was on bike checks and basic maintenance, which was presented by Andrew and Leslie, one of the mechanics from Capital Motorcycles. We were also shouted free hot dogs from Cindy’s Dog House. Delicious!

We totally get it, over time we all have little habits (of the less than ideal variety) that can sneak up on us. We also know that when you're riding, there's little room for error. This is why we cannot emphasise enough the importance of attending an annual Ride Forever course to refresh those skills.
Because riding forever means learning forever.

ACC have recently introduced the ACC Rider Reward - a 25% DISCOUNT on your ACC motorcycle levy.
Riders will be eligible for the ACC Rider Reward if they:

✅ Attend and complete a Ride Forever Gold course with us. (And don't forget that Gold courses are currently FREE during MAM!).
✅ Hold a Full NZ motorcycle licence.
✅ Participate in the training activities for the whole training day on the Ride Forever Gold course, though there is no formal assessment involved.

➡ When you next register your motorcycle you will automatically get a 25% discount off the ACC levy portion of your registration.
➡ Discount applies to each motorcycle you own.
➡ Is valid for 2 years from the date you attend your course.
