We are a one stop shop for all your Scuba diving, Free diving, Spearfishing, Diving careers and Technical Diving needs.

Based in Wellington New Zealand right across the road from Taputeranga Marine Reserve. Established as Splash Gordon’s Dive Shop 1998 and later renamed to Dive Wellington in 2010, we have been supplying Wellington and the surrounding area with quality diver training and retail for years. Our location is amazing, right across the road from Taputeranga Marine Reserve and less than a five minute boat

ride to the wreck of the F69 Frigate Wellington. Gear up in the shop and walk across the road for some of Wellington’s best diving. All this within a ten minute drive from Wellington’s Central City. We believe we are Wellington's most active dive shop, because we dive more. The only Wellington dive store with it's own charter boat. Our boat " Southern Comfort " has charters most weekends. We have a very active dive club that dives 3 times per week. We are proud to be a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre and offer all levels of diver training, from learning to dive right through to Master Instructor. Our fulltime Padi Course Director " Padi's highest qualification " is always available to discuss your training requirements. Our full time service technician is always available to discuss your servicing needs. We are also a TDI Dive Centre offering a variety of Technical diving courses. including Sidemount diving. We stock a variety of technical dive gear from leading manufacturers like Hollis and Dive Rite. What makes us different? Our goal is to make your entire dive experience enjoyable, our staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. There is a BBQ held after every boat charter and dive club dive. You are welcome to hang out in the courtyard and socialise after your dive. Our staff are passionate about diving and happy to answer your questions over a coffee. We have 4 full time staff and 14 part time staff including 10 Dive Instructors and 7 Dive Masters. If you are passing through Wellington, the diving here is fantastic. We offer a hotel pickup and can take you on a guided dive most days.

Congrats to our newest open water divers, that finished their course diving in the harbour over the weekend.
Yesterday our Diploma students were out enjoying a days fishing and diving on the South Coast and today we can't go to work due to 10 meter waves on the South Coast....gotta love Wellington weather

FREE Freediving Safety Course
Dive Wellington x Water Safety New Zealand

1x Pool session this weekend, 1x Sea session next weekend, 1x Boat session to be scheduled.
This course is subsidised by Water Safety NZ and is FREE for Males aged 35-54yrs old. However anyone is welcome on this course, if you do not meet the subsidised bracket the course cost is $150 for all three sessions.
Instructed by our PADI Freedive Instructor Elliot, this course is perfect for anyone already collecting or interested in collecting Kaimoana. If you attend both the pool and sea sessions you will be treated to a freediving boat charter, skippered by Dave.
You will learn how to snorkel and freedive safely, rescue techniques, breath-hold techniques, and how to collect kaimoana safely!

Meet Andrew Penniket
Award winning underwater photographer.
At Dive Wellington Wednesday 20th, 6pm

Andrew is coming through Wellington in May giving a few talks in the North Island about hisrecently published memoir on underwater filming for nature documentaries.

The talk will encompass marine reserves, lobsters, Fiordland, Antarctica, penguins, Snares Islands, Kermadecs Islands, orca and hapuka. Something for everyone. And marine reserves will be a major thread linking them.
