Sportrock is hosting the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics (NVSO) climbing event, the first time climbing has been part of the NVSO!

With so many incredible senior adult climbers in our community, this one means a lot to us.

The event will affect Bay 3 access (routes right of the prow and left of the pillar):
Sept 28 to 30, Oct 2 & 3 | Open to members as usual
NVSO Competitors are not allowed to climb on these routes outside of the event.
Oct 1 & 4 | Closed to everyone for the event

Every other wall stays open. Check the shaded diagram for affected routes.

We need volunteers! Shifts run 1 to 3.5 hours and include a free day pass (non-members) or extra guest pass (members), plus refreshments. Sign up through the link below!

Come support our senior climbers! 🙌

Whether you are or have been climbing for one day, there is a spot for you at the Sportrock Climbing League! 🧗

The Sportrock Climbing League is a team bouldering series built for mixed abilities. Each climber picks the skill division that fits them best, so newer climbers and seasoned senders can share a team and every top adds to the score.

We set it up this way on purpose: less pressure, more good vibes, and more space to connect with the community you love climbing with.

Only free for 1 or 2 Fall League sessions? You can still join! Email Ryan DeBlock ([email protected]) directly for a discount code and come climb with your team!

Firefighters on a feature route! 🔥👨‍🚒🚒🧯

Braiden Lockhart and Matt LePage cooked up something special with this one. This route is 60ft of full-body, exploratory movement; think stemming, pressing, and figuring out how to move your whole body through giant volumes.

Up at Sportrock Alexandria for a good time not a long time!
