Today was a very rainy and wonderfully successful FRC Dressage show!
Jen and Tos showed together for the first time (Jen’s first ever dressage show and Tos’s second) and did an amazing job! They placed 3rd in their class with a solid score.
Tos also showed in Intro B getting a 70.3% and Intro C getting a 66.5% (even with a missed right lead) winning both classes. He handled all the sloppy footing like a seasoned pro!
Bentley also came on his first off property adventure and was so perfect! Really excited to see what the next adventure looks like with this guy.

Breezy Valley hosted our first schooling show yesterday and it was amazing!
Everyone did a great job! The horses were perfect and the weather ended up beautiful after a very cold start. I couldn’t be more proud of how well everyone did and the amount of support that was shown to everyone.
Looking forward to doing more of these shows in the future!

The first FRC dressage and CT show was last weekend and was both fantastically successful and filled with lots of moments of learning.
Maple and Grommet had their first CT together at Starter and they absolutely crushed the jumping and had a solid dressage test. As a new partnership and a still fairly green horse they did an amazing job!
Amanda and Poet made their debut in training level and showed just how much they’ve been working in the off season. Their tests had some beautiful movements and while they’re still working out some kinks, I’m so proud of how well they showed.
I got to take Tos for his first trot down the center line and he could not have been better! He was totally unbothered by the entire show environment and aside from some honest baby moments he was pretty perfect.
Fiddle and I took one more run at First 2 and 3 to smooth out some things and show off how much work we’ve put in over winter. There were some amazing moments and we worked through some warm up ring nerves to get solid scores.
Looking forward to seeing what the next show brings!

It’s with a heavy heart that I share that Scout crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. He was a saint of a horse who was loved by everyone in the barn and so many riders. I can’t really come up with the words for such a perfect horse. He had the most lovely gaits, was easy to handle, got along with everyone, and had the best side eye ever.
I watched Hailey and Scout grow together for years while Hailey trained him to be a wonderful dressage horse. Hailey and Scout were a fabulous teaching team when Hailey taught lessons and were the pair that every horse and rider team should be.
Sending hugs and love to Hailey and her family for the loss of Scout 💔

We got to celebrate the end of the FRC 2025 show season last night.
Amanda and Poet placed second for the year in Intro! So proud of how far they came through year in their first time showing dressage.
Fiddle and I placed second for the year in First level. That’s a great way for us to end showing first level since we moved to doing First 3 this year and now we can move on to Second.
Looking forward to next year!
