Eek! 91% of people fail at the new year's resolutions. That's terrible.

Here's how to be part of the 9% who change their lives for the better:

1. Your resolutions probably aren't very good. "Get in shape" is boring and makes me want to eat a pizza. Make it exciting!

2. Baby steps! Little changes always add up to big shifts.

3. Keep score: It can be simple or fancy - but write it down!

4. The buddy system works: Do it with someone else.

5. You will fail. What makes a difference is if you pick it up and do it again!

Mantra: I am consistent, I can count on myself.

Rooting for you,
LZ

Top time management tip for 2025: If the action doesn't reflect who you are - don't do it.

-Write down your core values - what do you stand for?
-For one week, write down everything that you do.
-Write down what didn't feel aligned
-Compare the two lists, does how you spend your time reflect who you are?
-Every day - do three things that move you towards your goals and that are aligned with who you are...
Mantra: Feet on the ground, heart in the sky.

Rooting for you, LZ

Another love story born in Asheville ❤️

The last time I saw Christine DiBenedetto , she told me she felt like the Travis to my Taylor. She has always been my biggest cheerleader, advocate and counselor.

We met in 2006ish soon after I moved to Asheville, and I was a cigarette girl for the Rebels. We bonded over the years and not only is she one of my very best friends, she is one of my biggest business heroes.

She owns Wink Asheville with Gilda Canton Santiagoand I honor and learn from her expertise in finance and leadership.

By FAR my favorite ChrissyD story is when we flew to Miami on my birthday, Nov 6, 2019 and unleashed our power within with Tony Robbins. We laughed, cried, screamed, walked on fire, chants and tried to go to Cipriani looking like school kids.

There are so many stories like this, and I love you so much. (I’m Travis too)

You are taking care of so many right now,and when you are ready, let me and Sandra Scaiano take care of you. Really, no cooking for us.

I'd like to tell you about two of my favorite people in the world, Erin Stefanacci and Hannah Cole.

They are also my two longest-standing clients and, more importantly, they are both my dear friends.

Both live and do business in Asheville, NC.

I met Erin via phone in the fall of 2020. She had a functional medicine practice, Asheville Functional Medicine, and was looking for a coach. In the very first phone call, I LOVED her. She's very sharp and very clear. I remember her saying "I want this!" and I was like "hell yeah!"

In the past four years, we have celebrated so much that she has done. She is all about helping other people, she is a healer not just in her business, but at heart. She will often say to me "I want to learn more so I can do more, I want to do more. I want to help more."

Earlier this year, she partnered with Megan Parker, to open a yoga studio, Flow at Foundy in Asheville. Last summer, I met her at the studio, before the build-out, and I could feel the excitement of building something and was in awe of the space. I felt so proud!

Here are my favorite things about Erin: She is super sharp and super sharp-witted, she always shows me her puppies during her coaching calls, how much she loves helping people, her desire to grow and she's a badass.

I see myself so much in her - a tough, but amazingly kind woman.

On Friday morning, before the second storm came through Asheville, I texted her. The yoga studio had taken some water but her practice was fine at that point. She said, "it's ok, we are safe, that's what's important."

During the storm, both spaces flooded fully, with devastating loss. Erin is so strong as she processes both losses.

The yoga studio has a go-fund me here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-flow-at-foundys-recovery-following-hurricane-helene?attribution_id=sl%3A8f7dc957-03b7-4cd0-9868-7129017b9886&lang=en_US&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link&fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAabIJXbb3Z2VTyzBBcxtWGqiV66fmQXOJhwQIRFSp4rZtTwykmcSyNYBn3E_aem_F1AvPXOCfVyxD1C8bN5xNA and she is looking for office space for her medical practice.

Hannah and I met in a business class when we sat next to each other. I was wearing new shoes and I told her about how I buy break-up shoes. The next time I saw her, she wore gold boots to show me and I had an instant girl crush.

Hannah and I have been working together since 2019, and in that time she has done revolutionary work with her business Sunlight Tax. She is now the leading authority in financials and taxes and bravely helps folks - especially creatives, stop being afraid of money.

Hannah is not just the owner of the business but is also an amazing fine artist.

Hannah also is a passionate helper. She is an avid campaigner, outspoken advocate, and all-around badass.

As a previous New York resident, she sometimes sends me funny things to do, like going to an amazing Middle Eastern grocery store or a room full of dirt (more on that).

My favorite things about Hannah are how she is both amazingly grounded and amazingly quirky, her commitment and passion for her work, how she's such a cool Mom, and her great style.

Hannah lost her life's work at her art studio in Asheville, where the entire building was flooded.

And yet, she is spending her days advocating for others and helping people understand how to deal with this financially and logistically.

Hannah has a course to understand how to do your own taxes, https://www.sunlighttax.com/moneybootcampimpact and purchasing will allow her to continue to help others, specifically on tax adjustments and emergency funding. She is also taking donations via Paypal for direct response.

I hope you read this and it inspires you to help but also to just hold these two amazing people, and the amazing people of this area in your thoughts.

I love you Erin and Hannah.

They are not the only people I love affected, and I will continue to share stories.

You have a choice.

Stop blaming the economy
Stop blaming "the algorithm"
Stop blaming lack of time
Stop blaming not knowing how

Take control of your money, your marketing, and your sales.

This is how:
Make a choice.
Start paying attention to data.
Do new things.
Measure it.
Make adjustments.

I can help you. I've done it and I've done it for others.

Reflecting back on my Business 101 Workshop at the Romer Neighborhood Hotels

When I was teaching dance, I remember saying to a friend "my heart is the most open when I am teaching."

That is true to this day, I left this workshop feeling fulfilled and deeply happy.

I want people to have autonomy over their lives and I understand how entrepreneurship can do that.
