We had such a blast at PCT Trail Days! We met so many lovely people, some that have used our gear for years and some that have never heard of us. We just stoked to be a small part of this incredible community of people that make it a priority to spend as much time outside as possible.

Smoky summit camps with the 2Lite. Despite its ultralight weight (2lbs 10oz), the 2Lite is strong as an ox, perfect for those alpine sunset and sunrise views. When pitched in-line with the dominant wind direction, this design distributes the load evenly along the strongest grain of the 10D Nylon 66 Ripstop Sil/Sil fly. This greatly reduces the strain in the DAC featherlite poles. When you pair that design with innovative strength-boosting features like the internal tensioning system and toggles which attach the fly directly to the poles to reduce buffeting, you get an insanely strong 2p tent.

We love how people get creative with the Cinder Cone center pole. If convenience is your thing, you could use the dedicated 8oz carbon fiber pole too. But when weight and space are of top importance, you can just use a couple voile straps and the gear you’ve already got on you!

Just because our Expedition Series tents are built for the most demanding expeditions on the planet, doesn’t mean they aren’t great for scenic road trips through Scandinavia too.

When you want to get out there, I mean truly out there, the OneUp is the tool of the trade. Chloe Jimenez and her team got after it in the AK backcountry, with a OneUp providing a spacious option for meals and group hangs.

We’ve gotten a lot of new followers over the past couple weeks, so if you are new here, welcome! We started out as a tent company prioritizing innovation with the harshest environments and most ambitious expeditions in mind. Now, we make a wide range of products, spanning from ultralight thru-hiking shelters, to high camp bivvies, to Everest-style base camp group tents. We really nerd out about tents, figuring out ways to add the most strength for least weight. We are stoked to welcome all to the SlingFam.
