πŸ… TERRIFIC TUESDAY RACE REPORT πŸ…

This past weekend a crew of Resolute Runners loaded up and headed to Huntsville, Alabama for the Boston or Bust Half Marathon, presented by our friends at RunningLane Events, a flat and fast course along Aldridge Creek and the Tennessee River at Ditto Landing. Five runners. Five stories. One incredible team. Let's get into it! πŸ”₯

πŸƒ Manu Kaushik came to race and delivered in a big way. A brand new PR!

πŸ’₯BOOM!πŸ’₯

πŸƒ Aman Wadhwa is playing the long game right now. With the Berlin Marathon just a couple of weeks away, Aman used this race as a high quality training run to stay sharp. Berlin better get ready. 🌍

πŸƒ Susan Ball laced up for a strong return to racing. Her goal was 2:30 and she came within 30 seconds of hitting it exactly. That is a fantastic first race back and a great sign of things to come. Welcome back, Susan! 🧑

πŸƒ Tushar Mishra came oh so close to a PR of his own. He ran a strong, competitive race and that PR is absolutely coming. The fitness is there. πŸ‘Š

πŸƒ Ashish Mahajan ran a controlled and impressive 1:49. Strong, confident, and exactly the kind of performance you want to build on. πŸ’ͺ

Five Resolute Runners. Five different goals. Five people who showed up, did the work, and ran their races with everything they had. And the best part? They did it together. That is the magic of being part of a team like this one. 😁

You are never just training alone when you are a Resolute Runner. You are part of a community that shows up on race day and cheers each other across every finish line. It is one of the best parts of what we do here. πŸ™Œ

Congratulations to Manu, Aman, Susan, Tushar, and Ashish! We are incredibly proud of every one of you! πŸ…

πŸ… TERRIFIC TUESDAY RACE REPORT πŸ…

Say it with us. HE'S BACK! πŸ™Œ

Resolute Runner Tim Roberts headed to the Poconos of Pennsylvania this past weekend for the Wicked Fast Poconos Marathon , and what a statement he made. This gorgeous point to point course hugs the Lehigh River through Lehigh Gorge State Park, winding down the D&L Trail through the stunning scenery of Jim Thorpe with a smooth, gradual 680 foot net drop built for fast running. A course literally designed for PRs and Boston qualifiers.

And Tim was ready for every mile of it.

Tim is no stranger to accomplishment. He is a deeply experienced and highly decorated runner who has reached levels in this sport that most runners only dream about. But life happens, and after some time away from marathon racing, Tim made a deliberate, focused, and committed decision to reclaim the distance. This race was that moment. His first full marathon in several years.

He passed with flying colors!

πŸ’₯KAPOW!πŸ’₯

The distance has been conquered. The fitness has returned. And now? Now the real fun begins. With the marathon back in his legs, Tim shifts his focus to the next chapter: getting WICKED FAST all over again. Speedwork. Target races. Bigger goals. The comeback is officially complete and the best is absolutely still ahead. πŸ”₯

Welcome back to the marathon distance, Tim. We never doubted you for a second. 🧑

πŸ… TERRIFIC TUESDAY RACE REPORT πŸ…

We are kicking off today's race reports with a story that deserves every single bit of celebration it gets. Resolute Runner Ye Shin is an absolute force of nature and this past weekend she proved it in the most emphatic way possible. πŸ”₯πŸ”οΈ

Ye toed the line at the Rebecca Mountain 25k, put on by our friends at Pinhoti Trail Races, a point to point race along some of the most breathtaking sections of the southern Appalachian chain. Pure single track. Rugged terrain. Alabama trail running at its absolute finest.

But this race was about more than just one day on the mountain. This was the final race in the PTR 25k Grand Slam, a three race series that tests the toughest trail runners in the region across a full season of competition.

And Ye did not just complete it. She absolutely OWNED it!

1st place Female Masters across all three Grand Slam races.

πŸ’₯BAM!πŸ’₯

THREE races. THREE times on the podium in her age group. The entire Grand Slam series, completed at the highest level. From the first race to the last, Ye showed up, put in the work, and stood on top. That is not a good day. That is a great season. πŸ†

This is exactly what we mean when we talk about what consistent training, trust in the process, and sheer competitive fire can produce. Ye is the definition of a Resolute Runner and we could not be more proud to have her on this team.

Congratulations, Ye! You earned every single step of that podium. Now enjoy the glory because you absolutely deserve it! 🧑🌲

🌟 THIS WEEK AT RESOLUTE RUNNING 🌟

We need to take a moment because this one is absolutely extraordinary. 🀩

Last week, Resolute Running Head Coach Alex Morrow virtually crossed the Atlantic to Peloton London for a remarkable teaching engagements. Coach Alex, alongside fellow RRCA instructor Bobby Gessler, had the honor of teaching the Road Runners Club of America coaching certification curriculum to the Peloton London instructor team.

Let that land for a second.

Peloton instructors. The most recognized, most followed, most celebrated fitness professionals on the planet. When they decided it was time to become true experts in distance running, they reached out to the RRCA and Coach Alex. 🌍

πŸ’₯BOOM!πŸ’₯

Coach Alex is one of only seven instructors in the entire country certified to teach the RRCA coaching program, rated by Sports Illustrated as the number one run coaching curriculum for distance runners in America. The program covers everything from building training plans and exercise physiology to sports nutrition, sports psychology, injury prevention, and the history of the sport itself. This is the gold standard of run coaching education, and Coach Alex is one of the people who delivers it at the highest level.

And now the Peloton London team has it too. Because when the best fitness professionals in the world want to level up their running knowledge, they turn to the best. πŸ’ͺ

We share this not to brag (okay, maybe a little πŸ˜„), but because it speaks directly to why working with Resolute Running is different. Our coaches are not just good at running. They are recognized experts at the national and international level. Coach Alex is not just coaching runners in Birmingham, he is literally shaping the future of run coaching on a global scale, working with runners locally, nationally, and internationally!

So whether you are training for your first 5k, your tenth marathon, or a big ultra, you deserve coaches whose expertise is trusted by the world's biggest fitness platform. Those coaches are right here. 🧑

Reach out today and let's build something great together.

πŸ… TERRIFIC TUESDAY RACE REPORT πŸ…

This one takes us all the way to the Pacific Northwest for one of the most legendary race experiences in the entire running world. πŸŒ²πŸ”οΈπŸŒŠ

Resolute Running Coach Charlie Sharbel teamed up with Phil Moore from TherapySouth SoHo, the best physical therapist for runners in Birmingham, along with a crew of other incredible Birmingham runners to take on the iconic Hood To Coast Relay this past weekend. Known as the Mother of All Relays, Hood to Coast sends teams of 8 to 12 runners on a 196 mile journey from the summit of Mount Hood all the way to the Oregon Coast. Day into night into dawn. Vans, legs, laughs, and pure running grit from start to finish. πŸŽ‰

Their team, "Here We Go," came in saying they wanted to have fun. And they did. But make no mistake, these folks also came to RACE.

13th place overall out of 1,271 teams.

πŸ’₯KAPOW!πŸ’₯

Let that number sink in. Out of over a thousand teams from across the globe, "Here We Go" finished 13th. And they did it with an average pace of 5:55 per mile across 200 miles. 🀯

A sub-6 average. Across an entire relay. Up and over mountains and down to the sea. That is not just fast. That is flat out ELITE level running and we could not be more proud of Coach Charlie and every single person on that team.

Congratulations to Coach Charlie and the entire "Here We Go" crew! What an absolutely incredible performance. πŸŒŠπŸ…

πŸ… TERRIFIC TUESDAY RACE REPORT πŸ…

Sometimes the best way to know your training is working is to jump into a race just for fun and see what happens. Resolute Runner Katie Brown did exactly that this past weekend and the results were very telling. πŸ‘€

Katie is deep into marathon training right now, building toward our team fall race, the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, NY on October 4th. One of the top destination marathons in the country, voted best marathon in New York State, and known for sending personal records falling all over that gorgeous point-to-point course through the Finger Lakes region. Katie has her eyes on a big PR there and her training has been going incredibly well. πŸ’ͺ

So this weekend she decided to have a little fun and jumped into the Farmhouse Color Run 5k in Auburn, AL. No pressure, just vibes, just color, just running for the joy of it. 😁

And then she went out and absolutely ran everybody down.

1st place in her age group. 7th overall female out of 353 runners.

πŸ’₯ZOWIE!πŸ’₯

For fun. She did that for fun. 🀩

Here is what makes this so exciting. When a runner competing for fun finishes 7th overall out of 353 women while in the middle of marathon training, that is not luck. That is fitness. That is a body that has been trained well, that is responding to the work, and that is quietly building toward something really special in October.

Corning, New York better get ready. Katie Brown is coming and she means business. πŸ·πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Congratulations, Katie! Keep trusting the process and keep having fun with it. That combination is going to produce something incredible at Wineglass! 🧑

🌟 WE HAVE SOME BIG NEWS TO SHARE! 🌟

We could not be more proud of Resolute Running Head Coach Alex Morrow for this incredible honor. Coach Alex was recently tapped by none other than Runner's World Magazine to create a brand new 10 Week Lactate Threshold Training Plan for one of the most iconic running publications in the world!

πŸ’₯WHAM!πŸ’₯

This is not just a big deal. This is a HUGE deal. Runner's World does not just call anybody. They call the best. And Coach Alex delivered, creating a comprehensive, expertly designed program that is now being used by runners all over the world to get faster, stronger, and more efficient.

So what is lactate threshold and why does it matter? In Coach Alex's own words, "Lactate threshold training is the bread and butter of long distance running and the biggest predictor of performance. It is the key to running faster for longer without fading at the end of your race." Sound familiar? It should, because this is exactly what we focus on every single day here at Resolute Running. πŸƒπŸ”₯

The 10 week plan covers everything: cruise intervals, steady state threshold runs, long runs with threshold efforts woven in, strength training, and smart recovery. It is built for intermediate to advanced runners who are ready to unlock the next level of their fitness.

Want to check it out? The full article and plan are live now at Runner's World. πŸ‘‡

And if reading that plan makes you realize you want an expert coach in your corner helping you apply it to YOUR goals and YOUR training, well, you know exactly where to find us. πŸ˜‰

The same coach who built that plan for Runner's World is right here, ready to help you get faster, go farther, and become fitter. Reach out today and let's get to work. 🧑

πŸ… TERRIFIC TUESDAY RACE REPORT πŸ…

At this point we need to start checking A***n Jack's shoes for rocket fuel because this man simply does not stop. πŸš€πŸ”₯

This past weekend, Resolute Runner A***n Jack decided on a whim to jump into the Zombie Backyard Ultra at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL, hosted by Zombie Trail Races. For those who do not know the backyard ultra format, here is the deal. Runners complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour for as long as they can keep going. Miss the start of the next loop and you are done. Last one standing wins. It is as brutal and relentless as it sounds. 🧟

This was not a target race. It was not on the training plan. A***n simply decided to show up and see what happened.

What happened was 13 loops and 54 miles covered!

πŸ’₯BIFF!πŸ’₯

54 miles. On a whim. As a training run. On a course with roughly 500 feet of gain and loss per loop. And to make it even more impressive, A***n ran this same event in 2024 and absolutely blew his previous result out of the water.

Here what makes this truly wild. A***n is not training for backyard ultras. He is in the middle of building toward the Rebecca Mountain 50 Miler and then the legendary Pinhoti 100 Miler. Every single thing he does right now, including jumping into a spontaneous 54 mile sufferfest, is another brick in the foundation of something enormous being constructed in real time.

We cannot wait to see what A***n does when he actually lines up for his goal races. Stay tuned because it is going to be something special. πŸ‘€πŸ§‘
