🎄✨ Registration is now OPEN for the 2026 Youth Cast Auditions for George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®! ✨🎄

Join Alabama Ballet on stage in one of Birmingham’s most cherished holiday traditions!

📅 Auditions: Sunday, August 30, 2026
📍 Alabama Ballet Center for Dance
GROUP 1 (children under 5' tall): 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
GROUP 2 (children over 5' tall): 1:00 P.m. - 2:30 p.m.

To audition, dancers must:
🩰 Be between the ages of 8–18 (before the audition date)
🩰 Be currently enrolled in a local dance studio
🩰 Be no taller than 5'9"
🩰 Wear dance attire (leotard, tights, and ballet shoes)

⚠️ Pre-registration is required.
There will be NO walk-up registration this year.

⏰ Registration closes Friday, August 28 at noon.

Designed for children ages 4–8, this enchanting week-long camp invites young dancers to explore the world of ballet through:
• Age-appropriate ballet & tap classes
• Creative ballet-themed crafts
• Storytelling through pantomime
• Story time featuring beloved classics like The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, & The Sleeping Beauty

The week concludes with a special performance for parents, where campers will showcase everything they’ve learned! 💖
