Good news for elephants.
"The directive aligns with a growing global expectation that tourism should be responsible and humane. Facilities and venues around the world are increasingly promoting ethical wildlife encounters that focus on observation, education and conservation rather than direct contact and rides."

This is good for tourists as well, many of whom probably don't even know their participation is harming the animals. Here's hoping other countries will do the same.

Most of the Conspiracy goats are disbudded, as is the practice in the dairy industry, but a few still sport some pretty fabulous horns. Gnocchi, Fettucine, Peaches (and pal Dip), Gumbo and the Tower gang, and little Diana give you a chance to see what goat horns should look like.

When goats (or cats or rhinos) catch a scent, they can direct the chemical signal to the vomeronasal (Jacobson's) organ at the roof of the mouth for further analysis. Both males and females use this method to investigate new or interesting smells!
