Trail Ranger crew would like to thank staff from the SNRA who rode and worked with them, members from the community who may have helped clear trails, as well as members from MVTMA, TVTMA, and ISTA.

** What Would Brian Do?**
He would rediscover and get a single track trail back onto the MVUM... This report includes 8.5 miles of trail 4024 cleared north of Rd579 (3 days to recover lost trail) that will be newly available for all single track uses including motorbike & e-bike. Made possible through IDPR efforts to research and call out 2009 SCNF Travel Management Plan error, and SCNF's wisdom in issuing a correction now. See for current map: https://arcg.is/00ObvH

Looking for an ATV safety class in Shoshone county, here is your free option.

Idaho statute 49-302 - Any unlicensed operators under the age of sixteen (16) years on national forest roads must have completed a motorbike or ATV safety course approved by the Idaho department of parks and recreation, and a certificate or other proof of completion of such safety course shall be in the possession of the unlicensed operator of any ATV, UTV, specialty off-highway vehicle or motorbike or shall be present in the vehicle at all times when the vehicle is operated on national forest roads. The certificate or proof of completion shall be provided for inspection to any peace officer upon request.

We spent the weekend helping build a 38-Foot Bridge on the North Fork of Big Creek 2 miles upstream from trailhead.

Volunteers from ISTA, Challis Community Trail Alliance, Snake River Off-Road, Tread Lightly, Mountain West Recreation Alliance, SRTA and IFTMA. The Salmon River Backcountry Horsemen packed lunches into the bridge site. Also the Lost River Ranger District Fisheries youth group, IDPR, Salmon-Challis -National Forest, and the Challis Helitack crew flew materials directly to the site.
