I tried ordering a karate gi from Amazon as a curvy woman.

It went horribly. 😂 But honestly? So did spending $300+ customizing a high-end gi.

At one point I was buying size 7s and 8s just to fit my hips—even though my height put me around a 4½–5. Then I’d have an enormous jacket and pants that needed serious alterations.

The problem wasn’t finding a better karate gi. The problem was that I couldn’t find one designed around bodies shaped like mine.

So I made one. 🥋
