Retro Yoga Workshop with De West ✨
Returning to the Roots of Practice
🗓 June 13, 2026
⏰ 4:00–6:00 PM
📍 Boulder Yoga Studio (above Lucky’s Bakery), North Boulder, CO
💛 $40
In a world filled with fast-paced flows and performance-driven movement, this 2-hour yoga therapy workshop offers something different: space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.
Retro Yoga is not about going backward. It is about remembering what truly supports the body and mind: simplicity, awareness, and presence. Through gentle, accessible movement inspired by yoga therapy and somatic practices, we explore function over form and connection over intensity.
Expect unhurried pacing, subtle exploration, deep rest, and a long, spacious savasana. This is a practice of listening rather than pushing, where less becomes more.
No experience needed. All bodies are welcome.

Yoga should adapt to the person, never the other way around. ✨
At Be Center, De West’s teaching philosophy is rooted in creating a supportive space where healing and transformation can happen naturally, without pressure or performance. Through yoga therapy, functional movement, and trauma-informed practices, each class invites you to move with awareness, compassion, and curiosity.
This is a practice of listening rather than forcing. A practice that honors your body’s story and supports you exactly where you are today.
06/02/2026
Through gentle movement, breath, and awareness, healing becomes less about fixing yourself and more about learning to listen with compassion. Sometimes the body is not asking us to push harder, but to slow down enough to hear what it has been trying to say all along.

Meet De West ✨
De West, C-IAYT, E-RYT, is a Certified Yoga Therapist, Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist, and the founder of Be Center in Boulder, Colorado. With over 34 years of dedicated practice and teaching, De has developed a unique approach that combines yoga therapy with functional movement principles to support each individual body with care and intention.
Her journey into yoga therapy was deeply personal. After experiencing a serious biking accident that led to chronic pain, De discovered firsthand how therapeutic yoga could restore movement, function, and vitality when other approaches fell short. That experience became the foundation of her philosophy: healing begins when we stop forcing and start listening.
For over eight years, De worked alongside medical professionals in pain clinics, helping bridge the connection between mindful movement and integrative healing. Today, through Be Center, she continues to guide people back to themselves through gentle, nervous-system-informed movement that supports strength, ease, and connection.
Whether through live classes, private sessions, retreats, or workshops, her mission remains the same: helping people come home to their bodies with awareness and compassion.
