Looking for inspiration for Walk and Bike Month?

Check out our Sponsor Stories and see why these companies support multi-modal transportation in Boulder.

Today we highlight our main sponsor, the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation .

They are a sponsor because they strive to provide a transportation system with a variety of safe, accessible and sustainable travel options that connect people with each other and with the places they want to go. Providing mobility options benefits all people so by supporting active transportation options like walking and biking, we can work together to make our community a better place to live, work and play.

⚡🚲 Thinking about getting an e-bike? Or already riding one around town?

E-bikes are making it easier for more people to commute, run errands, and enjoy riding — but they also come with important safety considerations. A recent Colorado Public Radio article highlights tips for choosing the right e-bike, understanding local laws, riding responsibly, and safely charging batteries.

Some key reminders:
🔹 Wear a properly fitted helmet
🔹 Ride predictably and obey traffic laws
🔹 Use lights and reflective gear when riding at night
🔹 Charge batteries safely and avoid damaged chargers
🔹 Know the differences between e-bike classes and where they’re allowed

As e-bike use grows across Colorado, education and safe riding habits help keep everyone safer on our roads and trails. 💛

Is this unfair or about sharing?

A proposed pilot program in Boulder County that would set specific days for hikers, bikers and horseback riders to use certain trails is drawing criticism from many in the community — particularly mountain bikers who say it unfairly targets them.
