- To perform the Kelso shrug, adjust the bench to a steep incline (around 75 degrees). This position effectively targets the upper traps while allowing for a greater range of motion in the shrugging action. Hold the dumbbells with your palms facing inward and ensure your grip is firm yet relaxed. Start with your arms straight down by your sides, allowing for natural movement during the shrugging motion. As you lift your shoulders toward your ears, focus on isolating the traps without engaging your arms too much. This isolation will help you build strength and size in your upper traps effectively. - The B-stance squat, also called a kickstand squat or staggered-stance squat, is a great exercise for building single-leg strength. It’s not as challenging as a step-up or Bulgarian split squat, so it can be used to prepare you for those movements.

Stand in a staggered stance with the toes of your back foot placed at the heel of your front foot, angled slightly outward. Keeping your hands out in front of you, shift your body weight slightly toward the side of the front foot and squat down to at least a parallel thigh position. Rise to the starting position. Switch legs and repeat. Make sure to keep most of the weight on the front leg. It is suggested to aim for 70 percent of your weight on your front leg and 30 percent on your rear leg.

- When performing the Sicilian crunch using your bodyweight only, you may place your hands behind your head without pulling on the neck. Crunch with control by engaging your core and lifting your upper back and shoulders off the ground, keeping your arms in position (crossed over the chest or behind the head). Focus on initiating the movement from the abs, maintaining a smooth, controlled tempo throughout the ascent. As you slowly lower back down, extend your arms overhead to increase the stretch and eccentric load on the core. Keep the movement fluid and avoid letting your lower back arch off the floor. For more exercises, check out 100 Best Physique Workouts.

- The push press uses a quick and forceful movement to push the bar from the shoulders into the overhead position. This requires knee and rapid hip extension to accelerate the bar off the shoulders. While the shoulders are included in this dynamic movement, the primary goal is to work explosive power through the lower body.
