My most common question from women starting to microdose a GLP-1: “should I be worried about losing muscle?” or “I know i need to exercise while taking a GLP-1, but what should I do?”
Short answer: “only if your training isn’t keeping up” and “Strength training!”
Why:
The research is pretty consistent that GLP-1s pull weight from both fat and lean tissue, not just fat. Although that’s not a reason to avoid the medication, it’s a reason to train differently while you’re on it.
