What it feels like when you pull out the offset fork of the new Specialized Tarmac SL9.
•
But why is the Fork offset you ask? In order to minimize frontal area drag, the engineers at Specialized had to figure out how to reduce the Head Tube width by 4mm. The answer, offsetting the Fork allows for the rear brake housing to route directly next to the steerer without coming into contact with the inside of the Head Tube.

Creating the ultimate race bike takes some out of the box thinking. Did they absolutely nail it OR was this trick to get a 10% reduction in front-end drag a little too weird for you?

The “September Edition” of our Pork Chop Gravel Drop Ride last night is in the books … and we had a beautiful sunset on the Social roll-out on the Chesterfield Monarch Levee Trail to the Katy Trail.

Mark your calendars for our “October Edition” on Wednesday October 7th. This will be our Season Finale and with the daylight getting shorter, we will meet around 6:00pm at the front of The Brews Cafe ~ Inside SBR District with a start time of 6:15pm (instead of our normal 6:30pm). Don’t forget your lights!

As is the tradition, plan for a great post-ride Hangout with free drinks! (Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) 💪😎 See you in a few weeks!
