The work you put in in the effort you give matters everywhere, not just the gym. You see the results when you put an effort, including at work, and your family life, and in everything that you do. People will notice the effort, in your ability to do more, and do work quicker than they asked you to. This results in getting more work, getting more notice, and being put ahead of the people that choose to do the bare minimum and choose to do things at their own pace. Remember most people operate on a level of getting by, if you operate and move on a level of getting ahead, you will be ahead. If you operate to get by, you will just get by.
If you have trouble, lifting Kevin’s bar close, there’s a few things to think about. I want to engage my laps and pull those shoulders back and down towards my hips. I wanna think I have long arms and a good queue is to put your arms and hands around the bar first and then sync your hips into position to where your shins are brushing the bar. Then keeping your head in line with your neck and spine think about pushing the floor away from you spreading the floor beneath your feet, and then coming up into a fully erect position.
