🦆 A Little Change of Scenery — Heron Lake, Minnesota!

Trading the saltwater flats of Crystal River for the duck blinds of Heron Lake, Minnesota!

It's nice to put down the fishing rods for a few days and get back to a little duck hunting. Different scenery, colder mornings, and a whole different kind of adventure.

Whether it's chasing redfish in Florida or watching ducks work over the decoys in Minnesota, there's just something about being outdoors that never gets old.

We had a great day out in the Gulf this past week with Capt. Sergio, and Capt. Ron and a few friends. Lots of Red Grouper, Gags, Grunts, and Lane Snapper. We were hooked up all day!

Had Dave and Mike out on the water this weekend, and we found a few studs while beating the bushes!
Most of our redfish came on live pinfish and cut mullet. There are tons of mullet schools moving around right now, which is always a good sign. Water temperatures are still a little warm at around 84 degrees, but the fish are there if you're willing to put in the work and find them.
We also found a few trout out on the flats. We're just waiting for those water temperatures to drop a little more, and the trout should really start stacking up. Dark-colored jigs worked around broken bottom were getting the bites.
Fall fishing is getting closer here on the Nature Coast, and things should continue to improve as that water cools down!
