🤎 Tonight was a heartbreaking night . During our barrel race, a horse unexpectedly passed away right before his turn to run. Thankfully, the little girl riding him was not injured, but it was an incredibly difficult situation for everyone involved.

We are so grateful for everyone who stepped in to help the girl and the horse. To everyone who helped, prayed, and showed understanding tonight, thank you❤️

We know that the loss of a horse can be traumatic, and our hearts go out to everyone who witnessed what happened and was affected by this difficult moment.

Please keep the family, the little girl, and everyone who loved that sweet horse in your prayers as they navigate this loss. We are thankful to be able to lay him to rest here on the farm and will honor him with a plaque on the fence❤️

Thank you to our barrel racing community for showing so much love and compassion when it was needed most

Rest easy Merl❤️
