Mark your calendar with these dates for the Soft Trail Stroll!
The free Soft Trail Stroll series gives people a simple way to become more active. The events are for people of all ages (and dogs on leashes)—anyone who fancies a stroll!
The second purpose is to increase appreciation of our local soft trails. What is a soft trail? Simply, it is an unpaved trail. Its surface may be dirt, grass, or crushed rock/gravel.
Most hikes are 1.5 to 2.5 miles long. All go at a “stroll” pace. When the trails are muddy, we still stroll—we just stick to pavement.
Details, future dates, and the weather policy for Soft Trail Stroll are all on my website.

We celebrated by not damaging the trail. The stroll, hike, and run moved to the paved trail and the mountain bike ride was cancelled.
Big "thank you" to Paul and Paul from CITA for speaking about the history of CITA and about how the trails are protected and maintained. And to Pam from Capital Striders Turkeys for explaining what the Turkeys are and how we can get involved in trail running.

biked all of the 5K-hike route yesterday, plus trails likely to be used by the trail runners and mountain bikers. Things are looking good!
National Trails Day is one week away—Saturday, June 6. Join us and choose between a 1-mile stroll, a 5K hike, a trail run, or a mountain bike ride.
Let’s celebrate our trails, build community, and leave the trail better than we found it.

At the third class of the spring series of Curious Movement and Balance Class we played Ministry of Silly Walks. I wish I had videoed the walks, but maybe the participants are glad I didn't! lol
Next week, join us as we "get down, get down," "get up offa that thing," and debate whether "it's so easy to fall in love." 🎶

Ministry of Silly Walks is the inspiration for tomorrow's Curious Movement and Balance class!
After some warmup drills, we will have some very silly fun! We will leave time for some fun on the wooden play structure, before we finish with breathing and stretching. Are you curious?
