SENSEI SEAN - started with me when he was 6 or so years old - he attends the ENGLEWOOD location! He is “AWESOME”!! Such a big part of our schools!

Recently - I have posted a few old pics / memories of when i used to compete in tournaments in the FIGHTING DIVISION!! I was a rated fighter in the day!
But YES - i used to also love to compete in FORMS / WEAPONS and anything available back in the day -
In weapons / KAMAS was my thing! Only being 5’9” i was always able to jump and touch the RIM of a basketball hoop / and kick the net! Strong legs!!
In this picture back in the mid 70’s my head hit the ceiling!!
I always done so well in the weapons division!
But grasshoppers - there were several men competitors that would always edge me out - because they were the best anywhere - especially throughout the midwest!

if they never showed up ? I always won BUT if they did show up i would be like shiiiiiiiiit !! at least got 3rd!! 😂

PARENTS —
Don’t become preoccupied with your childs academic ability, but instead teach them to sit with those sitting alone - (leaders are born this way). Teach them to be kind - teach them to offer help. Teach them to be a friend to everyone, all ages, all genders, all races, all religions, teach them to encourage others - teach them to be concerned of all people, teach them to share, teach them to look for the good in everyone

This is how they will change the world!!!

I know parents/guardians - do their best - often times outside influencers- like me have an easier time with some of these messages
Yes me - the SENSEI - this is what i have done for many many many decades!

One day these children will be older and will become “LEADERS” - not “FOLLOWERS”!!

In the blink of the eyes it seems - they become ADULTS! Wow!
I know everyone loves theirs - otherwise you would not bring them in!!
I am just the vehicle to HELP!!

Fold your uniforms! All students / All ages
Many come to many classes per week! Wash them!! Keep them wrinkle free!!
A student and their uniform(s) they wear are a reflection of them!!! Wear with pride!
As we all know - uniform bottoms always come longer - so everyone can get them to size! Please get them sewn up - OR if you dont have anyone that can sew them correctly - call MS DEE - 765 969 9038 if you call and get voicemail leave a message and your number! She will call you back
She can have these done in a day or two! Also she can sew PATCHES - as well! These patches are also important for all atudents to wear! And - sensei often times issues patches as achievements! Wear proudly!! For any details see Sensei -
How many Karate GI’s (uniforms) do you have?
Its always advisable to have a couple! Some have more - (colors) etc ...
Remember this - a Karate uniform (gi) was actually “underwear” to the early asian culture - they always wore this underneath their KIMONO - so to practice they took off their KIMONO - practiced in their Drawers!
Gi (uniform) - 😝!!
We usually change our “drawers” underwear often!!!!!!!! Same with your uniforms - clean and keep nice!!
