Today, Edgewater CrossFit family stepped up to the line to take on “Murph” - one of the most grueling workouts in existence. Today wasn’t about the timer, the leaderboard, or the burn in our lungs. It was about something much bigger than ourselves. We tackled the mile, 💯 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, and another mile, to honor the life of U.S. Navy Seal Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy. In June 2005, during Operation Red Wings, Lt. Murphy knowingly stepped into enemy gunfire to make a satellite call for help, saving the life of his teammate. He chose his family-his brothers in arms-over himself. That selfless act of putting others first is the heartbeat of what we strive to build right here within our own Edgewater CrossFit Family!
