This has been a week to count blessings. I got to have REAL deep conversations with one of my college football athletes. Talked to another ex athlete who is killing it in his 1st 'big boy" job out of college. Got to hear from my college wrestler about his progress. Talked to another ex athletes who is now a college recruiter. It's days like today that show me HOW AMAZING MY LIFE IS. In TV I've traveled all over and did some of the coolest stuff ever. However working with these young men and women is the BEST thing in the world. Thank you God not sure I deserve this but THANK YOU. What a great start to the week.

Many “Conditioning” programs are poorly-designed and involve many dangerous or downright ridiculous exercises. This is because these programs are, unfortunately, often designed by people who are more concerned with looking “cool” or having the most “hardcore” workout.

Always remember that the goal of conditioning is NOT to simply make the athlete tired. Instead, it’s designed to improve their work-capacity without overworking them or possibly causing overtraining, injury or reducing performance capability.

Anyone, regardless of their knowledge or their lack of knowledge, can make an athlete exhausted (and possibly throw up) from a bunch of random exercises strung together in a haphazard manner with minimal rest. Only a good trainer/coach can put together a well-designed and well-progressed program that provides the appropriate workout challenge to make an individual better! Which type of trainer/coach do you want to be?

Dear Hard Work,

I used to hate you, when you called my name I heard it but I ran away from you. When I knew you were coming i used to hide from you. When you influenced others that talk to me, I quickly made excuses to get away from you. Afraid of the pain because I didn’t want to get hurt. Afraid to fail, so I didn’t even try and afraid of your name because of what you have done to others.

Who do you think you are making me so afraid of who you are? Reflection in the mirror, shadow behind me. I take one step and you are still ahead of me. Sweat in my face, tears in my eyes. Is there anything that you can’t do?

Now look at me, you made me who I am today and because of you I have this never loosing, never giving up attitude. Quitting? That’s not in my vocabulary. When they quit I keep going, when they sleep I work harder. When they say that I can’t and count me out I show them that I can. When I tell them about my dreams and they laugh, I make sure I laugh last. I am a dream chaser. That means I chase my dream and no one else’s, only I can defeat me. It´s me against this work you put on it. There is no loosing...

I will not lose!

I came this far and I am not stopping now. Oh hard work my doubt was right above me and you do pay off and because of that ... I love you, how can I not? I am no longer hiding from you ... I am waiting for you. In matter of fact, where are you?

I need you, because in hard work I trust!

Hey guys due to wx, I didn't make it back to okc last night. I will not becat the gym this AM. Gym has holiday hours 8-10am today we do the Murph. Workout. So if you guys go and need your workout scaled text me I'll adjust it for you. Back to normal tomorrow
