Seeing global leaders take the time to learn from educators and children, and to elevate innovative, child‑centered education, really matters. Reggio Emilia has influenced classrooms around the world, and this visit helps bring that philosophy to an even wider audience.
A powerful reminder that how we educate our youngest learners shapes the future.

Yesterday’s Alice in Wonderland tea party and book swap brought the whimsy, and today we’re fueled by The Very Hungry Caterpillar with a fresh, nourishing salad bar. So grateful for our amazing educators!

This morning, our 2s, 3s, and 4s classes came together for individual, age‑appropriate Seders in the community room! The children were filled with excitement as they walked in quickly finding their seats and eagerly anticipating what was to come. They listened closely to the Passover story throughout the Seder, joyfully engaging with the songs and traditions. Each class helped create a special part of the Seder by cooking matzo balls, broth, and charoset and creating a meaningful, hands‑on connection between their classroom learning and the celebration of the joyous holiday.

Before they were leading our Early Childhood Learning Center… they were little, too. Meet the ECLC admin team who help create a nurturing environment for children and families at the J!

Sharing our Jewish traditions with the broader community is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do!
This week, two of our 4’s classes had the joy of delivering mishloach manot (Purim baskets) to our neighbors at the local firehouse.
Although the firefighters were called away just as we arrived (the children did get an exciting send-off with lights and sirens!), we still had the opportunity to explain the story of Purim and talk about why we give mishloach manot. The children even wrote special notes to thank the firefighters for all they do.
Back at the J, our annual staff Hamantaschen Bake-Off was a hit, with prizes for perfect corners, most creative flavor, and best overall hamantaschen.
Moments like these reflect who we are: a welcoming and inclusive J that proudly shares Jewish traditions while building connections with all of our neighbors.

Chag Purim Sameach (Happy Purim) from the Pozez JCC!
This morning was our much-anticipated ECLC Purim Carnival! Our educators transformed the auditorium into celebration stations, from decorating crowns and face masks to exploring Magna-Tile light play, visiting our themed photo area, reading Purim stories, and more.
It’s always one of our favorite days of the year for children, staff, and special guests alike. The adorable costumes never disappoint!
